Today I found my first true 70s piece in a charity shop for £5, and I’m so happy! It seems to be harder in the uk than the US cos our second hand shops (charity shops) are much much smaller than your thrift stores! You got some great finds

I went to college in the eighties. Someone wrote an article in the college newspaper about shopping in thrift stores. They said that the main disadvantage is that they tend to be located in impoverished, often crime infested neighborhoods where college students may feel out of place. I wonder if this is still true.
