It won't be long before you are in your new home, and at a perfect time in your girls' lives. We bought a townhouse and lived there for nine years before buying the place we love to call home when our girls were 2 and 3 1/2. Have now lived here for 38 years and have no desire to leave. My husband and I were great thrifters and diy fans although we called our style "early attic". After 50 years of marriage I have accumulated many lovely things, but still love and use some of our original, thrifted/gifted pieces. Lucky you to be at the beginning of a long life of happy memories!

Awesome finds! God is good all the time! Hon, those chairs are fabulous and excellent quality, not the flimsy pine so many are made of now...I'm 65 years old and a former antique dealer. They have rush seats, and would cost more than $100 each anywhere else! I do wish you'd bought that beautiful blue lamp, but maybe that's because I could picture it in my house lol. Great finds. Kristen, Your ladder back chairs have a rush seat. It is a natural material. I have rush seats on my maple fiddle back chairs. I have had them for almost 40 years and they are still in perfect condition. Enjoy your great finds! ❤️

Notttt ridiculous- I bought my fall and winter garland at the outlet too (because it looked so realistic as well and Uber cheap🤗🤗)!!! Born is a great brand; also if you need to stretch them a bit more- fill a sandwich ziploc bag about 1/4 full maybe? Double if you'd like.. stick into the toe of the boot ( sit boot inside a sanitized grocery store bag -I do) and freeze over night... the water expands when it freezes and stretches the leather a bit.. you can repeat if needed. May the Lord keep providing hun!! Keep up the praises!!

I never stepped into the goodwill until a few weeks ago and now I can’t go near one without feeling obligated to go look! My dining chairs are the ladder back style and the seats are called rush seats. The materials they are traditionally made of is called rush, it almost like a tightly twisted paper. I’m sure the newer ones are a better material.

When it rains it pours! The ladder backs are actually called rushed seats. I have a set that I used years ago and just got them out of storage from my mothers house. I'm gonna use them again when I refinish my basement. Since your new house is bigger, you'll probably have a couple areas to use chairs.

I love the new chairs and the leather jacket! I think I lean towards the bentwood chairs a little bit more! We bought a bigger house right before the pandemic because we had our 3rd baby sleeping in a linen closet omg. We proceeded to take on a 7 month renovation which was really really hard especially once we had to do distance learning. It was one of the hardest years of our marriage. I'm always on the hunt for the perfect decor pieces now that we are past the hard times of reno and distance learning, praise God! Right now, I'm saving up for an egg chair :)

I have the ladder back chairs. I paid $225 for mine at a thrift shop called Fido Finds. I did get 6 chairs and one had arms making it nice to use in other areas and it's always nice to have spares. All proceeds go to cats and dogs and I did need them. Of course I would have loved your $7.99 ones. Didn't really want to pay that much but I think they are worth it or more so if you decide to sell yours, you can make a hansome profit. I would wait until you're moved as someone else said. You don't want to have seller's remorse.
