i live in nyc and i rarely go thrifting here bc of how expensive it is 😅 but i recommend Housing Works- much more affordable prices and a bunch of locations!! esp the chelsea location i went to recently had a great selection

There are Goodwill bins in Long Island City, Queens! Im pretty sure its shop by the pound. I used to go all the time and spend hours there because you really have to go through the bins to find something good, but the prices are so worth it!!!

For great prices you have to go to Williamsburg/bushwick in Brooklyn! For the thrift store vibe you are looking for go to lepointe value, urban jungle & Domsey express! For a more curated but still very affordable vibe go to Other peoples clothes!

goodwills in NYC are typically a bust (very picked over and bad prices). Try going to a Crossroads (which albeit, is on the $15-30 price range but I’ve found some GEMS there). Or for a good, real thrift experience, trying going upstate and look for a Salvation Army!

I heard you say you've never been to a Goodwill. If you're ever in Newmarket, Ontario, there's a Goodwill Boutique. Get your colors that suits you sorted out. That green cashmere suited you, the yellow-I am sorry but no, totally washed you out, (you are beautiful, but wrong colors do this on us all) Look at yr friend Bri when she tried that bright pink cashmere, that color looks as if made for her, sort of.👌 Dont want to sound harsh, but if/when you get the importance of colors that suits you, the amount of wrong buyings, left in the closet will be dramatically lowered.

The Ohio state item. Was it a tshirt or sweatshirt? It’s funny you tried this on because I have been meaning to do this to a couple of shirts and sweatshirts.
