What beautiful baubles/ decorations especially the Gisela Graham one. Marvellous bargains. You can tie them on with string for a natural look, but I hang mine on with paper clips, open them up to make an "S" shape, and they hook onto the branches and dangle the baubles below.

Hello Kate, your haul is excellent and my favourite is the music sheet scrolls very georgian or victorian. The price candles are a bargain would have been much more expensive so you got a very good deal. That cake set is a close second favourite. You can never have too many decorations at this time of year. I love Christmas. Have a good week and see you on Friday.

A quick way to clean that tarnished silver cake set before you give it to Lee’s mum: line a washing up bowl with clean aluminium foil and scatter several tablespoons of baking soda over it (bicarbonate of soda). Pour a jug full of boiling water over it the soda and immediately put all the silver in, spread out. Watch it change colour, and when it is done (less than a minute), pick it out with tongs and rinse off the soda water. Dry and re-box. Easy!

Hi Kate, such a lovely selection of finds, difficult to choose, but the robin candle is so sweet and the bells for the outdoor trees will look lovely. The musical parchment decoration looks to have the Christmas Carol ‘It came upon the midnight clear’ on it, a very traditional and beautiful song.
