It’s great you tackled this but for me I would prefer a more finished edge and would maybe glue some new pipeing to hide the staples . But I love that you could save these chairs without spending a fortune haveing them reupholstered. Love the fabric adheasive that’s great. You’ve inspired us for sure Thankyou!

You picked a perfect piece of furniture to tackle for the first time. Hiring someone to reupholster is so expensive. If you sew, making piping is not hard at all- in case you want to ever have a more finished edge. Good job!

I love those chairs ! I love it when you actually see the wood frame and batting exposed on the back of the chair! From what I could see at the fabric store she used Warm and Natural which is a thin cotton batting usually used for quilt filling

Looks great. Hey Sarah it’s called welting cord the piping. If you could get your hands on a sewing machine with welting foot. It’s real easy to see the same fabric around it to cover your staples and give a real finished look. Great job.

Although I love deconstructed clothing, I haven’t made the jump over to furniture yet. I think it’s something that will have to grow on me. That said, it’s an interesting concept, and look forward to seeing how you use it in your decor. You have a good eye, and I trust your instincts!

It turned out great! I Love the deconstructed chairs! Just not sure about all the staples showing, but I don't really know what else you would do. I been wanting to do this myself. But the chair I have is a lot different. So I'm not sure it would even work. I need to research it a little more.

It looks great. I seen the deconstructed chairs and they are pricey. I think I'd find a cloth like white rope to glue over stables. Like cloth fabric clothes line or uncovered piping cord would give it a better look and match the design. Like the wrap around sides. Seen where they take the arm area completely off on the deconstructed chairs exposing the inside and left on stables. It looks great. Good idea. Did Terra like the chairs? I do not want to be rude and the question maybe but if it is 100 degrees why are you wearing a sweater. If your cold you need to go get your thyroid checked. Thats not normal. I ask because graves runs in my family and it is one of the system of thyroid problems. Its treat able.

I think seeing the staples would bother me. I don’t mind the ruff edge though. And I love the fluffy pillow cushion. I would have to use brass tacks or something. That is just me. But, I love your style!
