This really is stunning. Brings so much character to the room. I especially love the look of old brick. About 2 years ago, I saw what is called slave brick. Prettiest brick I’ve ever seen. May just be down here in the southeastern US but I understand they are kind of a rarity. Interestingly enough, they were used on a cabin in a state park in Tennessee.

I put that kind of brick up years ago. Back then they called it Z-brick. I used it in my kitchen. The house we bought tried to do the wall behind our pellet stove. I had to take it down and redo it. But I'm thinking of painting it. To brighten out living room. You and your sister have done a great job. 🦋💕💓

We just used sanded grout. Piped it in between the brick and for a messier look, we used our hands.

Hi Sarah. You do such beautiful work and your spaces are so sweet. Thank you for doing this video!!! Lots of prayer brought me here. Long story short I am getting ready to brick my kitchen and after now seeing this video, I am going to follow your technique. Following some professional advice and methods were scaring me lol. And costly. Quite honestly making my decision to do brick was becoming overwhelming and hesitant. Anyway I am excited now! : ). Thanking the Lord for you and His guidance . Could you please tell me how you grouted? Did you use a mortar or a grout? What specific tools did you use? 🤗

Grouting is so simple. I used sanded grout, in the color white. Mix it in water till it’s thick, but not too thick. You will know. We mixed a bag full at a time, because being girls, our hands got tired. Put in a grout bag, and pipe in between the cracks. Once you empty your bag, go back over with your hands for the desired messy you look you want. We did your kitchen too. You got this, super easy!🤎✨🥰

No, but I am thinking of doing a brick wall in my living room. If I do, I’ll do a video. It’s easy. Fill a grout bag, pipe in , almost like icing a cake, and then go over with your hands to make it a “messy look”… hope that helps. I use sanded grout, from Lowe’s. Color is white🤍

I didn’t on this video, but I did a couple videos before my bathroom makeover. I used white sanded grout from Lowes. I mixed up up only a grout full bag at a time, to about a pancake consistency, pipe it in, by the time you do a full bag, it’s set up enough to go over it with your hands and get the messy look one wants. Repeat until finished. Hope this helps.🤍🫶🏻

They have hand tools to cut tiles and brick . Kitchen knifes are for vegetables not brick. I can see a whole bunch of kitchen knives in the dumpster across America now , as house wife’s brick their walls with gorilla glue! 🤣🤣 Honey where did all the knives go? Haha 😆
