As I expect most visitors to your channel do, I reuse my holiday decorations from year to year, only replacing items as they start looking shabby. I do keep up the tradition of sending out physical Christmas cards, but the most expensive part of that is the postage. Friends tell me they look forward to our annual newsletter (one we deliberately fill with silliness and outright lies), and the cards themselves come from the local thrift store. I paid 25¢ for a huge stack of them.

Thrift stores in the USA have an abundance of 🎄 decorations. I didn't buy any at my church's thrift shop, just using what I have. But I found new Christmas cards so I purchased some and holiday earrings. Our thrift shop makes over $50, 000 yearly after expenses which goes back into the local community. Lovely video. 🎄 🎄 🎄 🎄 🎄

Lovely haul of preloved decs, feels good extending the life of things that have adorned homes before. And so creatively used as well! Your rooms look wonderful, cost and homey, with the scandi/hygge theme. So pleased too that the wonderful animal charity benefits. While we were all minding our stalls at the Christmas market at the weekend, the charity made an emergency dash to pick up three very sick kittens who are now being cared for and treated, by the wonderful fostering team. That sums up Christmas nicely, a time for helping others, for giving chest and it's Just not necessary to break the bank to do it. Just goes to show it does not take mega bucks to create a wonderful Christmas feel and spirit, and charities can benefit too.❤

Great haul there Jane , too look for these type of things in the charity shops. What a great idea to use a cake stand. I have a single cake stand which is cream, I sure that as a centre piece with a plant or a vase on it.i also love scouring the charity shops after Christmas to decorations and small gift and toiletries that people have donated.

I wanted a small tree this year and picked up lovely one in a charity shop plus some lovely red napkins and few other bits x also I got 3 outfits so cheap x some gorgeous red velvet trousers for 3 pound x sparkly jumper 3 pounds x dress about 4.50 x well pleased x Well I don't understand if parents are hard up why they don't buy 2nd hand gifts x so many beautiful toys , many unused x same for Xmas jumpers for family members easily obtainable for 2 pounds each xx

Garlands are so expensive a great find my tree is 30yrs old and yes it's shedding greenery all over the floor, the Dec's have been added to and replaced over the years this year I've just added natural greenery and ribbons, every year I forget what we have and always think once it's brought down from the loft I definately dont need any more xx
