The great thing about thrifting is anything can be made into a possible catchpot. One cute thing I found recently was a hanging connected quilt squares made out of clay hanging on a swirled metal stake to add into a plant pot.

I thrift saucer, anything that can be converted to a cover pot/planter. I also love theifting baskets because you can easily use them as cover pots. Glass plates can be used as saucers, it's nice because you can get creative with things and isn't as expensive as things being sold in stores marketed for plants

The things I am constantly thrifting for my plants are glass vessles for my no-drainage plants. Beautiful crystal and glass vases! Also, cake stands and glass bowls/plates to use as saucers and add height and interest to my display.

Speaking of books a fantastic read is Brave the Wild River by Melissa Sevigny about the women who mapped the botany of the Grand Canyon before it was all dammed up. The other thing is taking old pots and painting them. I painted Frida Kahlo on a pot for my sister one year.

Becca these are great ideas. You are the cutest and so creative! Have you ever thought of writing a children's book with you as the main character, and your love of plants? I could totally see you in animated form on the front cover, with plants all around you. Becca De La Plants and her planty adventures! If you make it big, please send me a book ;)
