Last summer my neighbor put some Christmas and Halloween blow molds by the road on trash day. when I saw them I hurried fast as I could over to there house and grabbed them. I am glad that the garbage man did not get there before I did.

I spent a long time last year trying to strip down, repaint and repair holes in a Union Derby Snowman blow mold last year, it drove me absolutely mad.... that Pumpkin looks much easier to tackle however. I have a similarly sun-bleached pumpkin that I'm considering stripping down and trying this new "stained glass" spray paint at Michaels to restore his orange luster to!

The broken one you could also use a very thin layer of fiberglass to repair the brittle areas, a bit of sanding and airbrushing the whole thing and as good as new...!!!! You kinda look like Queen Maxima of the Netherlands with that hairdo, super cute! :)))) I laughed at your celebration of choice because it's the sorta thing I do too... LOL XDDDD I always wanna go to the kringloop which is the Dutch equivalent of a goodwill or thriftshop except it is state run...

I refurbed two blowmold pumpkins and then picked up another pumpkin and a ghost holding a pumpkin just right before Halloween last year. The ghost and the other pumpkin need refurbed before Halloween this year. Going to a huge outdoor yard sale event this weekend. Hoping to maybe find some more.

My very first blow mold was a pumpkin and I got it at a yard sale for $7 after that I could never find a cheap blow mold again and I'm never found another one at a yard sales soon and that was 6 years ago

Isn't it interesting how, over the last few years, that blow molds have been phased out and they've been replaced with inflatable decorations? I don't know, to me it seems like they just don't have the same charm and appeal as the old fashioned decorations did; for any holiday not just Halloween. Well, either that or I'm just old lol (I'll be 52 at the end of next month.)

dont paint the huge pumpkin! youll never get the paint on evenly enough to light it. instead, put a COLOR CHANGING LIGHT inside! or i u prefer it to stay orange, put an orange bulb inside and at night it will be orange and no one will know its faded!
