Oh yeah another question…. The little boy that you had originally thought about adopting…. Did he ever get adopted? What was the reason you wasn’t able to adopt him? I couldn’t remember bc it’s been so long.

His name, ironically, was Nikita…same as my wife! Sadly, I don’t believe he was ever adopted. I would love nothing more than to say that he was and lived a wonderful life…but last I knew …as of about about 6 years ago he hadn’t yet been adopted. And now, I believe he has aged out. He had some hard behavioral problems that we didn’t feel capable of handling and I believe that was the reason as well that no other family took him on. As sad as it is; it’s also so important to recognize your capabilities when adopting a child…it isn’t fair on the adopted child or anyone else in the home to take on a child you aren’t equipped to handle.
