I let my girlfriend buy it as it was a small and all the Brazil bits are quite popular in the Y2K scene at the moment. Would have grabbed if it was a large

As an older guy who has been thrifting clothes for decades I'm utterly shocked what people pay money for these days. Maybe the chore jacket is worth a punt, but Jesus Christ Depop has cooked young people's brains when it comes to vintage clothes. Honestly, what is the point in picking up this Y2K garbage, it was crap then, and it's crap now. Better to save your money and splurge on something older and better quality. Concentrate on timeless classics, and you'll be making the most of your budget.

@@ES-qm5hr when you go to a flea market/ thrift you don’t really get to choose what’s there… what’s your shop called? Would be interesting to see what sort of items you sell.

@@rhindsfinds I buy for myself, I'm not into flipping stuff for a profit. If it's not good enough for me to wear myself, I'm not interested in it. Also, if you know where to look, you can find decent stuff. You probably won't have much luck in a random car boot, or market. Though, I have found stuff there, I don't waste much time in those places anymore. I mostly buy workwear, military, and designer clothes that are pre-1990. I don't really mess with stuff made in the last 25 years because it's basically garbage outside smaller more upscale stuff, and a lot that I'll buy new. However, sometimes you can get lucky with that stuff too. I started thrifting because it was the only way to get high quality clothing. But, now people just buy any old crap, it's depressing.

@@rhindsfinds Luckily, yes. I'd suggest going through old films, magazines, photos, and researching your must have items, making a list, and then concentrating on hunting those things. Every year, I check off a few items which means by now I have pretty much everything I think is essential. It's easy to just waste money on spur of the moment buys unless something is really special just stick to what you planned. It's best to be focused. Buying less things, but more significant things is always the best way to thrift. Also, concentrate on things that fit you, and can be worn with other stuff you own. It doesn't hurt to have multiple versions of important pieces because if you wear them, they will wear out.
