I've been reselling for nearly 3 years, and watching plenty of KZbin resellers over that time, and I must say you are consistently in my top favorites as your vids are the most consistently excellent! Not too long, good amount of information per minute of watch time, energetic and positive. Thanks for helping out the community!

I think it probably has less to do with the state you live in than it does with how close you are to populated areas. The more options you have and the more product being dropped at thrift stores I think the better opportunities you'll have

I live in MA & do eBay part time. I usually gross $2k-3k per month to supplement my regular 9-5. I primarily shop the same 2-3 stores on my lunch break 3-4 times a week. I feel as though I could go full time if I went to more garage/yardsales & rummage sales. I’m teetering on a line of it almost feeling like too much work vs going full time & leaving my current job. It makes me nervous to take that plunge. Although, I feel like I could absolutely do full time and believe it’s possible for almost anyone. You have to truly enjoy this type of work & be constantly hungry for knowledge.

I think you can make a living thrifting in any state but like you said, you can't rely on just thrift stores. I sure wish I could do the 127 but that feels so far away from AZ! Hope you have a fantastic time (or had a fantastic time).

In AZ the CDs are .99 and DVDs are $1.29, still room for profit.

I live in Kentucky and I love thrifting at the goodwills here 😂 I’ve found some great finds for eBay and myself :)

A used Columbia 300 White Dot bowling ball in that color (or just about any color) has a 25% sell through rate on eBay and are worth $20-25 plus shipping at best. Not worth picking up in any situation IMO. Only premium or some vintage pre owned balls fetch $100+ and this one is a run of the mill beginner ball. A bowling ball runs a $7-13 in a 9x9x9 box via pirate ship or eBay. They’re good pickups if you know what to look for when you find them.

Hey JRide, come to New Jersey on Sundays. All Goodwill stores have 2 color tags that there items are $1.00! Yep, you heard it right! *Your videos have really been helpful- I’m a new seller and things are going quite well.

I don't know, but Dallas and east Texas get worse every time I go. They(thrift giant) wanted 45.89 for a pair of Ariat M8 that you can get for 39.99 new on sale, and the Levis were all 19.99 ... all polos were 7.99-8.99 Izod, Apt 9 etc... t shirts 5.99 and up... the racks were so full you had no room to slide the clothes and the hangers broke. that was one of many stores in the area that are all eerily similar. The goodwills suck, but honestly I find more decent stuff there than the local branded stores. And I switched to clothes from everything because every store I have been to in 2024 has had like 9 mr.coffees with no carafe for 15 buck etc. virtually no electronics, and the ones they have are broken and priced above eBay. I have only left with a few VCRs and found almost all at local stores. The big city stores here cherry pick and overprice for sure. I went to 8 stores in DFW wed. and came home with 20 mid items. it was a wasted 2 hour (one way)trip. very Grimm experience lol

Instapots are 29.99-39.99 at our value village (savers) in Canada 🇨🇦 😂 I’ve never seen one for less then 20$. I’m still full time and because of where I am I can’t buy half the stuff you buy, the price is to high up here no margins. Yard sales are a saving grace…Have to stick to higher profit higher risk items

You came to Kentucky during the only days we have had rain in months! But to be fair, it almost always rains during the 127 sale. Depending on what day you were there, I had just been through the media at the Leestown Rd location lol!

Hey JRF - You buy a lot of low dollar items, so I’m wondering how you get all of your items listed (in addition to all the time you spend sourcing, shipping, you-tubing, etc., etc.)? I’ve heard you mention employees. Can you share how many hours a week on average you employ others?

I think you need to use a variety of sourcing. One day the thrift stores might not have much. But the garage sales estate sales might that day and vice versa other days.

Yes, you pronounced Versailles correctly. Wish I could have met all you guys. I live 15 minutes from the CVS airport, in SE Indiana. I-275 makes it an easy drive.

Several of your comps were a little suspect, but good point if you dig and go outside of a specific niche you can usually find something. I assume you unloaded the media to someone else locally, not worth it to fly that stuff back.
