Kristen, you can easily tea dye that apron. It make the white beige-ish and will also change the stark red of it, to a toned- down red to darker red, that is more suitable to your desires.

One of my fav thrift store’s here in Texas saves all their Christmas donations all year and then has a huge Christmas shopping event. It is packed to the rims and full of people.All the money goes to women’s shelters, so I always shop the event.

If you dislike the stark white in your apron, you could try soaking it in warm water with tea bags. My mother used this trick all the time. She’d make a couple teapots of nice, strong tea. Put it in the sink and soak your apron. 😊 I agree. I’ve moved away from so much red and green and adding 7:48 other colors. I’m using a pale blue. And simple IS best. 😊great job on your recording with 2 little ones jumping in and out. I think it’s so fun, and it is real life. 👏👏

Well, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one keeping Christmas on a low key this year. I never realized how much work it is to get everything out and everything packed up. My shed is not on my property, but on my daughter's so my Jeep feels like a moving van. So I went simple, did a lot of nature colors and a touch of burgundy. My tree has white lights, a couple of clumps of burgundy poinsettias and burgundy berries and I called it a day. Did the mantelpiece of the fireplace simple and a few odds and ends, but at the end of the day I felt satisfied without killing myself so I can enjoy the season with hot tea and candles and a good Christmas book. I know what you mean about the thrift stores. Slim pickings this year. We only have 1 thrift store in town and I can't even get into that because they changed the parking to only have 8 spaces. You can't get into that with a crowbar. You tube can be so positive, but its also challenging with derogatory comments. Until people realize their thoughts, their words and actions all matter. It affects us in ways you can't imagine. Don't you worry about it, sometimes it's a projection of how they feel about themselves. You're doing just fine being you! You are wonderful, you're family is wonderful and your channel is wonderful. End of story😂❤

I am 70.next yr the middle of 3 girls.we had a 2 bedroom 1950 home and my mom cooked and sewed and designed all.our clothes n made hers too.she was famous in our family with 13 first cousi s here for her gifts and talents.crocheyed k it afghans for all and made handmade Ann n Andy and Carebears.i still have in my room.I loved holidays with foof n sisters n Daddy.i was do blessed .i barely saw mom sit down n eat..She was humming in thebkitchen n never had enuf room but we loved and never knew how hard shevhad it.Sun was church at St Pauls Lutheran..German ancestors.I miss my fam so much but honor them as much as i can.God bless

I think the fact that you’ve got little ones and are still getting dressed & doing your hair is an accomplishment. I love that you showed your real life real time house- makes us non-influencers feel better that our houses are not always in a pristine perfectly decorated guest ready state!
