Hi TS. Check out the books a little bit more. About 20 years ago, my father had a brilliant idea, which I thought was absurd at the time. Look for autographed books. Since his "crazy" idea, I have over 2400 signed books. Best find? Signed and numbered Muhammad Ali Easton Press biography. Baseball players, astronauts, politicians, ect, are all part of my collection. Ya never know. If I find one worthwhile, I'll send it off for authentication. So far, so good, especially for the Johnny Cash signed book. Good luck treasure hunting!

Love the Good Stuff Shop! Just a few weeks ago I grabbed a pair of Ugg Nuemel boots there for $2.50 (50% off $5) and sold them for $45 plus shipping. I typically can find good hoodies and outerwear for my kids there as well, and super reasonable pricing. They only take cash though!

I've had this problem as well, and I know why. People are creating their own ASIN's for certain products so they can avoid Amazon's fair market pricing to sell at a higher rate. Not sure HOW they are accomplishing this, but it's not right and they make it so no other resellers can be approved for their ASIN's.

Hey thanks for the vids. You seem like a really cool dude and very knowledgeable. I have almost no decent options for thrifting around me, but I keep my eyes peeled for cool stuff you find in your vids and then snag it for myself on eBay or Amazon for the collection. I have found some really neat stuff thanks to you. Happy hunting man!

25:30 The weird BRAND NAMES are a problem that Amazon itself created. People have resorted to trademarking weird names just so they can create listings for their products and prevent others from selling their products. I tried to trademark 2 names and only one was approved because the other one wasn't unique enough so I lost $250. Also, Amazon has created a backlog of about a year's wait at the trademark office. I've seen people just punch their keyboard to come up with a unique name to try to trademark.

Hey Thrift School, I had a couple questions. I found a board game called Bamaopoly and I was wondering if you have ever sold it and if so for how much. It’s an Alabama crimson tide monopoly game. My other question was, whenever you find something that has a sticker on it, especially if it’s something sealed, how do you get it off without damaging the product or the seal?

I think the Kodak Carousel 140 slide tray that has a white box is a slightly different model to the kodak carousel transvue 140 slide tray model, the white box one is just the base model with a slower rank of 7 and sells for just above $20 compared to $28. Still going to make money but just be careful, amazon would do a return if you mess up the item with a slightly different model because Amazon customers are picky

I still have a bunch left that I never got around to listing. I made all my money back within the first couple of days because I got lucky and found 1 that sold for $1000. I still have a bunch that sell in the $30-$50 range that I need to get listed ASAP because they are taking up so much space. I think Ive made over $3000 from them so far which is great!

Honestly watching sellers go to thrift shops to buy merch to mark up online ticks me off. People donate to help lower income people, and you buy up good stuff that a family could use for your own profit. Get a real job.
@JaneyThrifts964 ай бұрын
The prices are marked up to what they actually go for online, none are brought up to astronomical made up prices. Thrift stores are fortunately stocked daily, usually all day long. Supporting those thrift stores by shopping there keeps them running and better benefiting the people who use the stores for the reason you are assuming they use them for. He donates, buys, and makes products accessible online as his full time job. No one is being hurt by a reseller (especially) as kind as him- he’s just thrifting. Stores like goodwill get their products donated- for free. Then THEY mark up prices sometimes even higher than what those items sell for new in other places or online. Thats the part that’s wrong. But I mean hey.. If those less fortunate people want more money… I suppose reselling seems pretty cool huh?
