I've said it once and I'm saying it again (even if I get backlash), IMO Cassie looks better in hydrating foundations/BB/CC/tinted moisturizer, whatever the case. That leads me to believe she might be oily but lacks hydration. I know, I know, she knows her skin better than me. Just my opinion though 😊

I think this too! I also have oily skin but “hydrating” type foundations ALWAYS look better on my skin! They don’t last long but they look better
@brookemckeown17622 жыл бұрын
Totally!! I always thought I had oily skin but it turns out I was just so dry it that my face was over producing the oils to moisturize itself… Once I got that sorted out it’s been smooth sailin!!
@DanielleNicoleMakeup2 жыл бұрын
Agreed! I have oily/dehydrated/acne prone skin myself. The foundations that look best on me during my own reviews are typically NOT the driest most matte foundations. If I go in with all matte/powder products etc it causes my skin to produce MORE oils than normal and looks so dry initially on the dehydrated patches so I totally agree 👍 I feel like we have pretty similar skin (at least through the screen)

Cassie, this looks so good on you!!! 😊 I have oily dehydrated acne prone skin and can't say this enough times: the most game changing product I've reviewed to date is the Danessa Myricks Blurring Balm Powder. After an 8 hr wear test, my skin looked better and better as the day went on. It actually controlled my oils yet didn't dry me out and blurred the skin more and more throughout the day. I believe it's from the time released Ipsalite ingredient? Seriously, no primer, foundation, setting spray, or powder holds a candle to this stuff. I can't live without it now! Might be worth a try as a fellow oily deh acne prone skin type. Love your reviews 🥰 I want to try this now since it looked so good on your skin!

omg what a difference! This looks so much better on you than the heavy full-coverage foundations. You look glowy not oily. I noticed a big difference when you put on the second light layer. I am floored by the difference. I'm sold!

I love this tinted moisturize!! I'm in shade 3.5 and it works well with other products. You can set it down on your oily areas. I'm combo. But you also have to still moisturize with your regular moisturizer because it's going to look patchy and dry and that goes with regular foundation and any tinted moisturizer
@PookieK2 жыл бұрын
Cassie - I have thought since I started following your channel that the more dewy, lighter coverage tinted moisturizers/skin tints/ serum foundations look so much better on your skin than the heavier matte coverage ones. Just my opinion.

This looks right up my street! I'm trying out a few different foundations at the moment and having dry skin, this sounds ideal. I'm pale, but I have olive undertones so I'm hoping the palest shade might work for me...

FYI, if you are ever looking for a beautiful cream contour/bronzer formula, the Danessa Myricks balm contour, I believe light 1 was what I tried ran very olive on my fair pink skin. It looked green against my pink undertone. Hope you don't mind me mentioning it! 💕

Posting this again until you read it.. It doesn't feel right that you always list the shade range as a con, especially if it doesn't affect you. Here's why: 1. Not all shades would result in the same final product. It's possible the formula would be compromised with more/less pigment. Some brands want to preserve their reputation for putting out great product, and won't if the result isn't 100% satisfactory across all shades. 2. Brands test the market. Sometimes putting out a limited line makes sense to see if it's successful and/or there's a demand for more. Extending a full line at launch is risky and becomes a deficit if they have to pull back. It's smart business. 3. Arm swatches (specifically these), it makes sense to have them NOT match the arm, which sounds a bit strange, but if they did match, you wouldn't be able to see them as boldly. This is done deliberately to give the consumer an idea of the light/med/deep RANGE, not to show matches. No shade, but I thought it was worth sharing since you make it a part of your final review every time. It seems you're trying to preach the 'let's be all inclusive', which I support, but sometimes there are reasons and it's not always a political issue. I do think it's worth sharing the available ranges, but making it a pro/con seems misleading unless the brand has addressed it.

Thanks Cass- I have oily skin and texture as a result sometimes I can get a few dry patches but for the most part I’m oily AF lol- I was wondering about the Rare Beauty Tinted Moisturizer. I’ve heard some good things but any base product can be tricky on oily/textured skin. Thanks as always for your product reviews. Just an FYI I went out and bought the Make Up Forever HD foundation a few days after you finished your review. It says 24 hour wear I think 🤔?? N E who I loved it but then. I loved it and then I’m not sure what the issue may have been but it caused me to breakout. I’m not ready to give up on her yet though ☹️

WRONG Shade! You needed 1#! Some People think they have darker skin than they actually do! YOU are extremely FAIR, so You need LIGHT Shades! Skin Prep is also VERY IMPORTANT! You have to HYDRATE Your Skin, not just toss makeup on! Toner, Serums, essences, Moisturizer, SPF, and a Primer are REALLY IMPORTANT! Also THIS Product isn't for People who have extremely DRY, or very Oily Skin, or noticeable imperfections or bad acne and scarring! This product is more for people who have perfect to pretty much clear skin to begin with, for it to look beautiful! If you have the right skin type, and you do the right prepping beforehand this is actually a gorgeous product, but because you are using it because of the SPF in it, you have to reapply every few hours just like you would a regular SPF, or You WON'T get proper SPF Skin Protection! Also shaving Your Face on a regular basis, is also REALLY IMPORTANT for ANY Makeup or Skin Tints to look GOOD!

I think you should just include pictures of the color swatches instead of giving input about it every foundation video cus sometimes a foundation will have a ton of colors but you’ll say it could do better and sometimes when one has way less you say it’s not bad. It never made sense to me so I always skipped the intro to get to the application part
@taraocomics22452 жыл бұрын
Knowing what the shade range is for foundation is important for some people. Quantity doesn't always mean they have quality shades-some brands have SO many shades but they're all too similar or are too orange or don't take into consideration people have cooler or warmer tones. But as you said, if this doesn't apply to you, you can just skip it over but some of us find it helpful.
