Thrifty Thursday Haul .Refurbishing a Freebie

Tessie I knew you would love that frog soon as I saw it that is a great place for froggy's new home. I'm so happy you love froggy so much and the jars and candles that I know you will use well. Those candles would be great to use for the holidays that's why I sent them. I have more candles that I found I'm sure you would love I'm going to put them to the side for you. You got a good bargain for those funnels for a dollar each you did well. Good idea with the flex seal on the basket. I use lacquer or shellac spray to help protect my out door furniture. I've never used flex seal. That freebie came out great with just enough paint really made it look nice great use for it great score. I love finding freebies and refurbishing them. Tessie I am so humbled that you put the froggy in your little window house it's so heart warming to watch you open up my box and show everyone. I really do love to send you stuff and sharing things that I have. You mean a lot to me your a sister and a very dear friend. I love you so much:) Blessings to you and Ken:)

Love the thrifty Thursday haul! The pillow and the magazine rack are very nice. I agree it looked better after spray painting it. Owen was so generous to carefully package and send you useful things...great bonus with Miss froggie. She's so cute! Maybe call her "Tulip" You'll see her every day....so fun!

Good Morning Tessie and friends, Yesterday was such a nice sunny day. I spent much of it working in and around the house. My brother and I worked on recaulking the bath tub. I had to go out to get new roller guides for the sliding shower doors. It took some time to do it but it got done. I sat out side and enjoyed the rest of the afternoon. Today it's raining and thundering so we will be inside. My sister came very late last night and will be with us into next week. I'll be busy doing lots of things working in the garden finally with the help of my sister I can get to planting. I am so humbled to watch Tessie open my box and showing what I sent. I know she will enjoy the Froggy I sent her for years to come. It brought tears of joy to me. I wish everyone a pleasant blessed Thursday. Love you all. Keep smiling :)

Owen's package reminded me of the packages my Grandma Edith used to send to everyone she knew. She didn't have much, but she would send all kind of useful things that she thought would be useful to people. I love Fanny's diary, Tessie. I like that you have returned more to your old way of doing videos and away from the product endorsements. Let the Lord guide you in your videos and you can't go wrong.

I’m sure he gets as much joy out of collecting items to send you as you’re in receiving them🙂You are clever in your decorating to give anything that cozy touch. Great video! Went to that Thrift store last week, it was so nice. I got a 6 pack of ball jars with rings and lids that were blue colored. Also 2 wide mouth jars. I got a beautiful handmade green and white table runner too. I like how organized the store is.

This was a fun thrifty Thursday from 3 yrs ago. That free magazine rack you got... I have the exact same one I bought over 30 years ago. Mine is still brown because I never got around to updating it. That magazine rack is really cool. I have one exactly like that, you gave me an idea on how to use it. It's being used in our garage right now, but it's currently holding things that should be put in drawers or thrown away. I'll get it all cleaned out and put some landscape fabric in it and some soil and use it as a planter. By the way, where are some of your thrift stores located in Lancaster? We are visiting Lancaster in the fall. My mom loves frogs!!!

Great job on the magazine rack, thinner coats are much better than heavy coats where it could run just a tip. How nice is Owen that was really kind of him. The name for the Frog, I would say could be "Freddie" It's hot here in London today.

It will help to preserve it from the elements. Thumbs up to Owen! ☺ That is a beautiful package that he wrapped & sent to you. The "Escort" in the box, that assisted in the safe delivery of the boxed goods, IS beyond ADORABLE!!! He will be very happy in the A-frame glass (window) house!! ☺ I would like to share with you, if you didn't already know, that "Frogs" have been known to bring good luck, prosperity & friendship. I luvluvluvluv frogs!!! When I was little I would see "Toads" on the patio & in our yard. Often, I would pick them up, the babies were the cutest; only the size of the tip of my pinky finger. So much fun that was. ☺ In reference to choosing a name for the frog..."Kermit" is a cute, but; common name for a frog. I would name him "Mr. Mascot O", or just "Mascot O" (for Mascot Owen 😄😄😄😄) P.S. Great finds Teresa. Wow, that is a great free item. Flex Seal.......a super duper explensive product that is supposed to be waterproof. That will be great. I think it is about $12.98 per can. It is actually a rubberizing product. What a kind subbie and friend. I think you should call Mr. Froggy .... Mr. Owen!!! That way you will never forget who you got him from. God bless you sis. I went to the thrift store yesterday and I found a few great finds! One of my favorites was a very large heavy oval shaped stainless steel mixing bowl! I have never seen a bowl shaped like this. I’m thinking it was from a restaurant or a deli. I think it will be very nice to have when I am canning using my Victoria food strainer. I was so excited to find it for $4 then I found out it was on sale for $3.00! I’m thinking I will get a lot of use out of it. I’m like you I get excited to find old things an putting them back into use!

Does your finger hurt? There is a small device that can be added to the top of spray cans so you can paint without getting cramps in your hand and finger. I love the little magazine rack!

P.S. Tessie! ☺ Do you have a family hand meat grinder? Or, a grinder attachment for your Kitchen Aid? I was thinking, if you haven't already, that with the Great deals you get on chicken; make chicken sausage or just ground chicken (skipping the casings).. It can be used the same way ground beef or ground turkey is used in many, many, many recipes! I season mine with an abundance of fresh garlic, herbs (fresh or dried), fennel, salt & pepper (lightly). It is a very healthy, as well as frugal, choice. ☺☺😎😎😽
