Such a lucky find! I saw that brown and white check and immediately thought “chicken scratch”! 🤣 So many beautiful pieces of cut work and lace! They’re going to be amazing to work with! Those tea towels with the yellow stripe look like a set I bought a few years ago - they were designed for drying glass without smearing, and help keep them shiny.

Just what I needed to see this lovely morning. Yep I be of soon to Westport the home of thrifty madness, lol I will be on the look out for a few lovely’s. Mainly I want a smallish square tin, yes this will be my excuse for popping in. Aww I foresee cha Ching in my future today. lol great video. Those hankies I know I received these from my great Gran she was German so yes I think you are right, lived in NZ but from time to time Great Grandad would pop over to Germany at certain times of the year, Gran was the only survivor from her family (Jewish) she never stepped foot again in Germany but Grandad went over and he would say no one must forget, so I go to remind them! Such a dear man. Ah any who the Hankies were a gift we received from them, they were beautiful so very pretty, quite a treasure. Ah thanks for the memories. Right I am of have a little thrifting to do and I am sure I will get in a whittle painting too. Such lovely walks and some very cool places to paint in Westport, me fingers crossed there fishing boats are in. Must remember to take me tea bags! lol

Nice. I recently found an entire tote of vintage and antique crochet and tatted doilies and embroidered doilies on marketplace. The lady wanted 75 dollars for them. An elderly woman trying to detach so her children do not have to deal with it. So, we agreed I would come out next day and purchase. On the way to her house I was involved in a minor car accident. But it jolted my head in a way that I ended up in the emergency room for the afternoon, primarily sitting in a tiny room waiting. lol. Then the next day we had a snow storm. I live out in the country. The seller lived in town. In town they get their roads plowed, and business as usual resumes quickly. Out here, they do not plow the roads. So I was snowed in for a few days. She was a very nice lady, but she grew weary of waiting for me, and sold the entire tote to someone else……lol. I was so disappointed. But I cannot blame her. She was probably concerned I would never come. And of course another buyer came along very quickly. Because it was a large tote full. But hopefully some more will pop up again. But I think that one was a rare opportunity.

I’m so sorry to hear you had that accident and hope you’re all recovered from it now. And sorry to hear you lost the opportunity to purchase that tote of treasures.
