I received a wooden ironing board at my bridal tea in 1967!! I still iron on it whenever I need something ironed!!! In December it will be 56 years of use and I’ve never wanted any other one!!!

The bread box is handmade and probably for home baked loaves of bread; which can be higher than bread bought in the store.

The deep candy bowl.I would put Holly Berries and Winter berry sprigs and a little Christmas doilly inside with the. corners overlapping the edges and put wrapped Christmas hard candies.Also could use in Autumn with Fall leaves; etc and wrapped candies like candy corn. Something about those deep bowls. in green can be used for every season. but that one.I can see Autumn and Christmas. I love watching tour channel and when your daughters and grand children are with you. I remember when your grandson wanted trucks and train engines.

I have my husbands grandmothers wood ironing board hanging in my laundry room. It’s a true antique . But my kids don’t have my sentiments yet. So not sure anyone will want it, but we love it.

Grandmother, even though, it probably isn't as chilly as The Midwest. when the seasons change. keep a sweater or little jacket or Hoodia in the van for those early morning and late evening outings🤗🤗

The wood ironing board, my momma had a heavy iron one! The spoons after the teaspoons are what my momma called sugar spoons. In the late 40's and the 50's the flatware was sold with an equal number of knives, forkks, spoons and sugar spoons. They were used so each person would have their own spoon for the sugar bowl! At least that's what momma said! .

Oh Julie! This was so much fun. You found so many great things and I loved how you styled them. The tea spoons are so pretty and the soup spoons, I use for stirring coffee. What a bargain. The Wexford canister piece is just beautiful and now you have beautiful storage for your coffee. I love the aluminum measuring cups, so vintage! The vintage ironing board... I am so glad it went home with you to treasure for years to come. Displayed so well, as always. Julie, you just have the gift to display and make it all yours. I love how you teach your girls as y'all shop along. The brass dangle holder with the embossed glass cover will look so pretty at Christmas with a red or forest green candle and some simple Christmas plaid ribbon tied on the handle. I can just see it! I have several of the American Heritage books that were my grandmother's. American Heritage was a history magazine and each year, they would issue one of these books featuring "the best" of their magazines for that year.

What a great video! I love yard saling! What a find on all those costumes! My favorite finds were the iced tea spoons & all the measuring cups. Dont know if anyone told you the smaller spoons are jelly spoons, but I 've used mine for everything. I have the same tin cup measure in a hanging basket above my kitchen sink & I use it to drink out of. Growing up we had a tin ladle hanging up to drink out of. It saved on glasses & was fun to drink out of. Everyone knew to rinse it after using it & hang it back up.

As you can tell.I comment as I watch. So the reindeer you passed. I would have bought. it reminds of the book. I think Ingrid and the Reindeer/ The Christmas Reindeer. or the reindeer In. the movie . about a family who had a reindeer farm. Until I start getting into Scandinavian and Norwegian themes.I hadn't thought of reindeer as being. bred. and raised for true sleigh/ sleds.pulling.. We have gotten so use to Horses . Yes.we use teaspoons I am a Baby Boomer. so was raised with full table settings, but the teaspoons were used in the SUMMER. UNLESS FOR ICE CREAM SODAS. THIS WAS A GREAT VIDEO.

Julie, I have 2 of the aluminum measuring cups, 1 one cup, and 1 two cup. My grandmother had one she used in her flour. I have mine in the big clear glass canisters to measure flour and sugar. I love that you can see them in the canisters.

The ironing board is awesome! I got one years ago from my ex- mother-in-law. Mine has old green paint on the legs. I have it right inside ths front door as a divider between entry and room. It sits behind a big chair, like a sofa or console table. I have it styled with an old lamp, 2 jars of old buttons that were my grandmother's, pictures in old frames, etc. I absolutely love mine, even tho it is kinda rickety! You had a great haul. Love how you use everything!

I use my two wooden ironing boards all the time -- as ironing boards! However, I often see them styled as console tables w/ old-timey things, and they are really cute that way, too. I like the measuring cup on your homey little cross-stitched rack -- it looks like it just "belongs" there! Pretty great haul -- I LOVE community garage sales!

What a fun thrifting day! Our sales here in MN are pretty much done for the year, as we’re heading into Fall/ cold weather season. (Although today it’ll be around 70, 🤷🏻‍♀️which is unseasonably warm… but perfect!)😄 I loved seeing your daughters and Brylee, and that they like to thrift! My favorite days now that I’ve got grown daughters, is a trip to the GW Bins or a day filled with garage sales! My favorite pieces were the measuring cups. Mom had that same tin 1cup one.She’s alive and well, but she’s in Assisted Living and her baking days are over. I now have that cup on a shelf. Whenever I see it, I can just envision her scooping up flour for bread or cookies. “All joy is a reminder..”♥️♥️ The party pictures with Toy Story costumes was just plain adorable! I’m so glad you got the wood ironing board. You passed one up year ago I believe at a thrift store and I mentioned you could stencil or paint designs on them if they are really worn out. It looks wonderful in your living room! I have four of these and made a pillow ticking cover for one to use as my laundry folding table. I use one to decorate in my kitchen and one for my craft/ sewing room as a work station. The last one for a serving table for desserts etc at Thanksgiving & Christmas with a table cloth on it.

I had a laugh about the ironing board. I have used one like it most of my married life. 43 years. I finally replaced it a few years ago because it warped from all the steam 😅 I still have it because it belonged to my mother. Just a little tip for you, they make great outdoor buffet tables.

I am a book lover from way back...If I were you ( I have done it many many time, just take elmers glue and either squeeze in the binding or use q tip, and then wipe any seepage off with damp paper towel. It does help bind them so they are sturdier
