Hi.. we are planning for road trip from Goa to Gokarna.. hows road condition any idea? Not experienced in driving in ghat or hilly areas...please advixe

Hello, To travel to Gokarna from Goa, is a comfortable coastal drive all along the NH 66. It does not have any hilly terrain drive. Hence, it would be wonderful drive along Palolem Beach, Galgi Baga Beach, Karwar and then Gokarna. Karwar is also a nice place to visit on the way. Have a great road trip. Do share your experience. !

Just a question Is there any ghats after Kolhapur which is difficult to drive? As short cut was taken, I am not that much pro for ghats, but drove to mahabaleshwar thrice. Any suggestions if the roads will be easy for me

Hello, there is no particular Ghat even on the short cut road which we took from Belgaum > Kittur > Alnavar > Haliyal > Yellapur > Agasur > Gokarna . It's just that it goes through the forest but the roads were good and one can drive easily. The other alternative to avoid the forest road is to move ahead of Kittur : Belgaum > Kittur > Hubli > Yellapur > Gokarna. Hubli to Yellapur will be a Highway, part of NH 52. But we would still suggest try the forest road if driving during the day (not after 6 30 pm). You will love it. Another tip would be if you want to avoid village roads then after Yellapur do not take a left from Agasur Village and go straight towards Ankola to join the NH 66. Again, the village roads from Agasur are beautiful. Try if it is possible. None of the above suggested will be difficult to drive and infact will be shorter. Feel free to ask further queries if you still have doubts. Hope this helps ! 🙂
