He's as legendary as Ali any time due to his huge struggle through times that would destroy many a man. I speak from experience, understanding and total respect of who Mike is today. You don't need to be highlighting comments he made decades ago that he probably hates himself for. Give him the credence he deserves because he is having a bigger positive impact to the human race than me and you could together. The man is a born again legend and deserves complete respect for laying himself bare in front of the planet. He denies nothing he's done. He's trying to show people that we can mess up in life but it doesn't have to destroy us forever and that we can break through self hatred to be free and happy.

With winning came loss as his entire support system crumbled around him as Cus was gone, Jim Jacobs died and everything began to wither and fade until the darkness took over. I believe that Tyson was never truly able to taste success again in boxing without his family around him at that crucial moment in time. He had to tear it down completely and rebuild to where he is today. The real blessing is that he didn't succumb to his destructive tendencies and become a casualty.

I think just like this man, always have and it's the reason I've never had many friends. I, too, was bullied just like Tyson when I was younger. I became a boxer for that reason and fell off when life got tough. Tyson is my idol, and the more I listen to him the more strength I develop to conquer my own world. With that being said, "A person who is friends with everyone is an enemy to themselves" is 100% right, and in my case, I was too real and outspoken for anyone to want to be my friend because they lived their lives running from who they really were while I was willing to face my own demons/fears alone and that's scary as fuck to a lot of people but I'm ok with that. If you can't come to terms with yourself, you can't come to terms with life and if you can't come to terms with life then you're simply just a nobody. If you can come to terms with yourself, you can come to terms with your life, and if you can come to terms with your life then you're winning. It all starts with you not with your friends/people.

Never before have I seen anyone who has the ability to be so introspective as Mike. He could genuinely be a top level therapist if he chose. Don't let his speech impediment fool you.

Most thorough, transparent, speak off the dome human being I know. Tyson holds absolutely nothing back and that is what ultimately separates him from the fakes. Mike Tyson = 💯

Beautiful display of a person who truly understands how their ego (fear, trauma, deep sense of unworthiness) has caused so much sorrow. All these feelings have a positive intent, but an enlightened being sees the falseness of it. Overidentification with ego, the 'I', thoughts are all surefire ways to keep you trapped. Can you imagine how much evil there is in the world, how it grows in every human being, and how hard it is to come to terms with your own inner Vegeta? It takes so much courage..

The reason these two don't mix well together is that Tony is fixated on positivity, while Mike uses the whole spectrum of human emotions to think and communicate his ideas. Tony wants to exclude half of life, and Mike embraces all of it.

When Mike has this clarity, he’s as illuminating as any of the great philosophers. Yes, any! As good this was, it could’ve been so much better; the interviewer steered the conversation towards different directions at the wrong time. 1 of many - Mike: “Who created God....” Interviewer: “Tell me about your ranch.”
