Here is an idea for you : When you get time - you should really plan an Amtrak travel - travel all over the US and get off on stops, show off the train, sleeping car etc - you would really love this - WE would really love this -plus - you get to be on a TRAIN....i love your videos now - I just had a thought as I see the train....You are awesome

One of the Carolina's is going to be my retirement state. I used to lived in Jacksonville, NC and Port Royal, SC. Carolina's has the friendliness people on Earth. Both states are cheaper to live in as well. Yes, will be living near the coast. I love the ocean, so I visit the ocean every weekend. I currently live in Indiana near my parents. Taking care of my parents, since they are old.

The "light saber" at about 9:25 looks like a hanger for a trolley wire. Maybe they had streetcars/trolleys/trams or electric buses at one time - though buses would have likely needed 2 such hangers for their 2 wires. Many US and Canadian cities that don't have trolleys, used to. "RY" stands for "Railway" believe it or not.

Another cool fact in mccadenville which is Christmas town, the city pays every citizen’s power bill for the month of December so ppl will participate in putting up the Christmas lights so there’s no single house with no lights

Only a few short years ago, there were lots of trains through these towns with the CSX railroad. My hometown in the NC mountains had at least one train an hour. When Obama was in office, he passed legislation on coal transport that greatly reduced the number of trains through my town, maybe only a couple a day. I really appreciate your excitement and showcasing of the trains!

Excellent!! I enjoyed the interaction between you and Todd as much as the sights around the area. You two are hilarious! Especially loved the up close view of the train going through town. It's pretty rare you can get up right next to it like that. I think I've only seen that a few times. Oh, and great impressions !! lol!

I have loved trains since I was a girl. A train came through my little hometown most every day and I would run down to wave to the engineer and conductor. I am so glad the engineer waved to you in this video! Silly me, I found myself waving too! Lol!

I love trains, the sound of trains..to me its soothing...grew up living right next to the train tracks... when we heard them coming we would hurry and go put a penny on the track.

Adam, come to Charlotte! I can show you around town. There are plenty of things here to see: several amazing statues, Carowinds and the Billy Graham Library (a free "presidential like" museum tour of moments from Billy Graham's personal life and it's also the location of his final resting place). You will absolutely love this truly BEAUTIFUL tour!

The thing with can opener bridges is by the time you're close enough to read how high it is, it's too late and you have to slam on the brakes to stop and then back up traffic in back of you.

Love the videos, Adam. Really enjoy the videos with local people that give insight to the small towns. The videos with trains always remind me of my grandfather, who worked for a railroad, and used to take me to the depot and watch people get off and on. Then once just before he died he took me on a train trip! Heaven!

A friend of mine worked at the Freightliner plant for a number of years in her capacity as a nurse (employee health checks and treating minor injuries incurred on the job). She really liked the people who worked there and the community as a whole.

I like seeing the train going by too. I don't know why it's so cool 😎 but, it is. I used to live right by a train track 🛤 and would watch them go by too. I like how you say vlog is over and, than it continues for few minutes.

I grew up alongside a train track. We use to like to watch the passenger trains go by at night. You could see the passengers in the windows. Grew up on the south side and now live on the north side of the tracks. Not sure what side is the wrong side. 😂
