Throne and Liberty Controller FIX V2.0

IN my first video I showed a quick fix for the wonky controller lock-on in Throne and Liberty. Since than I have tried numerous methods and have settled on a new method which is how I recommend you play the game now.
The previous fix worked well in certain situations early in game but once you started Dungeons and bigger battles / events it was problematic. This new change fixes all those concerns and allows you to play as it should be.
Also added in a few tips and tricks for early adopters.

I might be a little bit too harsh, but I want you to take your time and rewatch both of your latest videos. They are almost 20 minutes long both combined. In reality, none of them needed to be longer than 5 minutes each. I'm talking purely from viewer's pov. Write scripts if you're struggling to get to the point, this video specifically contains around 7 minutes of useless yapping.

​@@Dorfdad I feel like the commentary adds more of a personable touch to your videos, not like you're only doing this for clicks and likes. Understanding that some (not all) attention spans are lower nowadays, maybe a remedy for this where you can still be comfortable with your formatting and allow shorter attention spans to get the pieces of information they want is to put timestamps in your description. Great video, very informative. I've been playing since early access on PS5 and have been getting used to the settings. You got a sub from me!

I mapped skill Modules to L1 - R2 -R1 and now I can use triangle, circle, Square, X for all my skills instead of the D-Pad. Its been a game changer for me

Dude you solved 2 problems at once. The most noticeable one is that you have a CONTROLLER tab. I don't. wtf. Going to put in a ticket with them No idea what they screwed up but this f's over a lot of people who want to customize a controller. I appreciate the vid. Saved it for later as well. Change the lock to a long push and a tap to cancel. Paired with the camera adjustment this should fix all hard locks for combat.

I'm playing on PS5 too. I discovered the same solution. The only problem I'm having is that I set the brightness too low at setup and then discovered that there's no way to change it after setup. On PC you can change brightness in the graphics menu. But the console version doesn't have a graphics menu. So now I'm stuck with an image that's too dark in dungeons and interiors.

I’ve never understood why devs can’t make a mmo like this game but with live action combat. No tab target or soft lock bs just have dark souls or Skyrim type of combat

I just wanted to point out something that is kind of misleading. You said that when you lock on and move your right stick it switches targets. Then you changed the key bind and made it seem like once you changed that everything was fixed. The reality of it was, that you just didnt lock on to the enemy mob and just attacked. Thats why it wasnt switching anymore, but you made it seem like just because you changed the key bind that was the reason it worked. Misleading new players into changed key binds for no reason is not a good thing. All they had to do was just attack normally without locking on to the mob and it wouldnt switch like that. Its actually a good thing to switch to multiple targets in endgame because you want to pull a bunch of mobs together to do one big AOE hit and kill multiple mobs at once. Just a tip when trying to help new players.

Hi, many thanks for the Tipps! I have a question: how do you zoom in and out on controller as quick as on PC? I believe on PC you can zoom in and out using the mouse wheel. Another question: can I migrate my Character from Early access server to the F2P servers later on?

I'm on xbox controller, but you can press LT, and use the right stick to go top right option when the menu pops up. Use LT to zoom out and RT to zoom in. Hope that helps :)

W content! definitely needed this. When you reset your preset did you keep the set cancel lock on as RT and R3 or default and just leave camera rotation when locked on disabled?

I reset to default setting in controller. It works both ways you just have to find what works for you.

Im on xbox and cant resize the screen to fit my t.v..also the menu navigation is broke. It glitches out. Cant navigate menu tabs because it doesnt seem ported properly..

Does anyone know who to put a marker or your name above your head, I can’t find myself during big fights whether it’s pve or pvp. I’m on ps5 as well.

To access target markers you have to use the radial menu, default key bind is LT, iirc (I remapped my LT to R1) and navigate to the third radial menu. So using default binds it should work like so; 1. Press and hold LT (brings up radial menu) 2. With Radial menu up, press L3 (iirc) two times to get to the third menu 3. While still holding LT, using Right stick pick your marker, then release LT to mark the target. Note: I'm guessing while not targeting anything, you mark yourself? Not entirely sure as I haven't played with the markers, I just know they are on the 3rd radial menu. Note #2: If you don't like having to hold the key bind to keep the radial menu up. There is a setting to make it a toggle, as in tap the button and the menu stays up until you toggle it off. Hope this helps.

Like the game but I dislike the combat. I can only attack when I'm targeting an enemy and when close enough... sometimes if not often I find myself unable to attack when enemy is in front of me. Causing me to die cause I can't attack back. N of course I got more than one attacking me.

There is a setting and I don’t recall exactly where it is right now but it’s called like lock on to friendly players this allows you to target individuals and heal them specifically

My problem with this setting is that the camera stutter when is locked on moving enemy. even when I circle the enemy at close range

your first video was spot on bad design on console control.just remap lock on button. you won't be able to pvp with the way the lock on camera rotation is on default .
