Some world events will only be for pvp flagged players. Each event also have diffrent rewards and loot

@@FusionThunder no You can't flag for pvp, those events Will toggle pvp on in the zone. Some Will behave as small competitions were the player that obtains more wolf tails wins. How to obtain wolf tails, kill Wolfs/ kill players It's kind of forced pvp if You wish to get more of the events, because their build from 2 years ago had leaderboard for these events

On the fence with T&L. Will play for sure but I don't think it will replace new world for me. I prefer action combat, all the pets look silly and don't trust the devs (recycled devs from other failed pay 2 win games/cash grabs). I hope i'm wrong but honestly have higher hopes for Archeage 2 and AoC than this game. T&L is just and Archeage 2 and AoC waiting room :D

PS: New World combat feels clunky when you compare it to BDO, BDO has just way way better action combat. As I said before getting action combat right is very difficult vs tab targeting. Also tab targeting opens way more options in PVE encounters vs action combat. But in the end it all comes down how the DEV's implement the combat style be it tab or action combat for PVE and PVP.

Throne and liberty looks like it will be decent but it’s not going to take over New World for me. The combat doesn’t look even close. New Worlds combat, especially in PvP is unmatched in my opinion. They just need to capitalize on PvP and actually add some new content and ranked arenas.

Hope the game goes well. I'm kinda worried about how to use 8 different skills on gamepad; I don't really know why they keep doing games with some many skills. In that aspect, I think New World really hit the mark (3-4 skills on two different instances are great gameplay).

I also like the way NW is setup. I'm worried about the combat for Throne and Liberty. Combat makes a game for me. Regarding the 8 skills maybe you'll have to hold in a trigger to switch between 4 to 4 skills. I have no idea how it's going to work but would be awesome if we could just chill with a controller

@truely if I wanted to press 30 skills in a secuence over and over I'll just stick to WoW or Swtor. It's just a matter or preferences. Soul's, New World, even Genshin Impact, have great combat mechanics with none or very few skills.

WTF HAHAHA its to few, why do people get more and more backward in the gaming environment is a fucking mystery to me, we used to run 45 skills in vanilla wow, or everquest, GEN Z can only cope with minimal of 1-2 options in their brain apparently, rheels needs to be 3 seconds and school will be cooked down to ½ year in 60 years.

NC Soft history suggests it starts out strong before the P2W becomes more of a factor. And that's fine. It's going to be a while before NW has enough of the upcoming changes to not be boring. So if TL takes over for a while until NW finds it's groove, that's not a terrible thing. Having played SWTOR for over a decade, I don't mind tab targeting at all so long as the combat takes it into account when it comes to the feel of it. From everything we've seen so far, the feel of the combat will be everything in determining how well TL is received. I am definitely looking forward to it!!

(reasonable overview especially for its length 👍)First off, New World is the end of New World, since the devs can't fix a number of core mechanics and combat. It was fun but the code seems poor and they just can't update and add content fast enough because of dysfunction. As for T&L, sure, looks good and could be but it is made by NCSoft and they always come with a strong P2W element and grinds. I always like their MMOs but they never workout long-term due to how they are managed. Maybe this time 'it will be different' but I doubt it. Same goes for ArcheAge part 2 (XL games), really enjoyed ArcheAge but their endgames and P2W/gamble models just drive everyone away, including myself.

Guess what buddy, action combat + their engine is what is keeping their devs from actually do some real work. Devs had to take 8 months to fix lag/stuttering and You can still feel lag/desyncs

@@ayhcenkard2965 sooo...mages, muskets and bows have all been hated on more than not in NW too ;) Just sayin'. Tab targeting CAN be done right, so it I will be depend on how they handle it. That's the biggest concern (outside of the P2W BS) for TL for me. I like NW combat in terms of the non-tab targeting better too, but the game is so lacking in so many other ways, hence the piss poor state of the game right now. Best case scenario is TaL takes over and holds people's attention long enough for NW to get their their shiz together. I don't think it will kill NW outright upon launch, but NW IS still on the clock. We'll know soon enough!

I heard a lot about this game and watched some videos and I think is not going to succeed more than NW. I think is very different and doesn't look like a replacement. If you watch, it is typical asian mmo, more like Aion or black desert.

Besides that I don’t mind action combat but that is a different beast to get it right. Furthermore I like that over will be huge in the game and at the same time as it seems somde decent pvp.

The combat of new world can't be beat. I'll just say that. Also look at the spear for instance the skills look pretty realistic and reasonable which makes it cooler. These clips look werid with everything they do there they have all these color a flashes for everything they do, it looks cartoonish. Tab target needs to go. (2nd comment, more a question) One issue could be the UI, I find... hmm all games made for PC&console had poor to bad UIs for the PC side. I really enjoyed ESO and it had one of the better PC side UIs but even then, it was really annoying. Any comment on the PC ui? I think the forum said =no x-cross platform servers=, which I find understandable but that also makes be wonder if this is really an MMO meant for consoles (did any news on moba come up for T&L, seem to recall something...). Anyway, if meant for consoles that typically means they won't have much for stopping cheaters on the PC, which is always a huge problem these days. Cheaters were a massive problem for NW. I really hate the cheating destroying potentially good games trend and now consider getting a console for multiplayer and just using PC for single player & co-op games.

Bless has failed spectacularly and Lost Ark has kind of settled into its niche, not a major threat to any other game. And this is coming from someone who doesn't play NW any longer.
