I'm in the UK and also got on the closed Beta, managed to get some time off work to play it plus get some other things done. Heard it's not doing so well in Korea. These sort of games will always go up and down a bit. I guess we will see for ourselves very soon.

I've been following this game's development for several years now. It's been very exciting to see these developments. That said, do I gather correctly that TL will be a high octane mega guild game? So far it strikes me that if you're not in large guild you will likely get steamrolled often. I truly hope I am wrong here because joining a large guild and dealing with the leadership politics never sits well with me. I would love to hear anyone's thoughts on this matter.

Guilds start with a limit of 50 members. You gain additional slots as the guild achieves milestones. So there are no "mega" guilds. However, the more sweaty guilds will make several guilds and put them into tiers. The hardcore super sweaty players in tier 1. And each tier down gets less sweaty and has less requirements. And each guild will have it's own leader. Which you can essentially think of as raid leaders in charge of their big group. With this format. It's possible for smaller guilds that only fill one guild roster. To form alliances with other guilds. And still compete with "big" guilds in the sense of organization, rewards, etc. More does typically mean better/winning. But you're not going to have one guild with 500 people in it together and one person leading them all and controlling everything. They could, from an organization stand-point. But not in terms of structuring and execution. So one person on Discord could be in charge of five guilds. But they can only directly control the one their character is leading. And rely on other players in charge of the other guild groups to handle their respective duties and players. Does that make sense?

@@keldor8302It does make sense and thank you for the detailed reply. It still all reminds me of my Shadowbane days and what a roller coaster ride that was. It always a "fck or fight" environment, never a dull moment, never a down moment and NOT looking over your shoulder. Keldor, would you agree that this game isn't for lone wolfs style of play? i.e. My wife and I running around and doing our thing. Thoughts?

This game has been live in Korea with a large western playerbase playing the Korean version since December. What the heck is an NDA for. Anything "bad" from the test is going to make it out with or without an NDA. This just stifles any possible positive word of mouth.

There's nothing bad in Korea so it's impossible to create "bad" in a global version of a Korean mmo lmao

the combat is not good IMO and character progression due to that. i got to the max lvl in korea version, the damage difference between early mid game, and endgame is too little and you really don't feel very much stronger.. It's an easy problem to fix however, if they just adjust the damage a little bit. If they did that, it would be awesome!@@abdelrahmanrad

As it said in the disclosure read on this video. They're making changes to the game. Both your typical localization style changes. As well as fundamental changes to systems, stats, gear, etc. It's expected to have significant changes. Based on what they've encountered during the live game in Korea and western reactions to it. None of those changes are set in stone. And they don't want any of them to make or break the global launch. Since they could be taken out or changed before then.

have you actually tried the korea version? Combat is not much better than a mobile game, there are still quite a few afk combat features, and from midgame to endgame you hardly have a damage increase. That makes char progression feel very boring. I'd say this game is a notch below diablo immortal honestly (not considering microtransactions) DI is actually a great game outside of those aspects.. i hope that there are changes.@@keldor8302
