I actually feel like I am a guerrilla commander/tactician who is having my ambushes unfolded one by one. Each battles, ambushes and manuevers are done in a meticulously planned scenario almost like clockwork and I have to ensure this war machine does not fail.

Nah, elves, the Aen Elle and Aen Seidhe, did a lot of fucked up things before humans even evolved, the Nordlings just returned the favour and kept twisting the knife in deeper and deeper.

The elves treated dwarves and gnomes (actual original inhabitants of the continent) the same way that humans treated elves later on. So I guess their misfortune is kind of poetic justice. Besides just look at the Aen Elle like Eredin who think themselves above every other race (they literally have human slaves in their original world in the books)
