@@drdramatik Ur welcome! In the novels, Ardal was one of the Niffigardian aristocrats who seek to dethrone the White Flame and he mystically died of "sickness" by the end of the war. What we saw in Thronebreacker is kind of a complement to his story.

Haven't played thronebreaker yet, but this theme is getting me so hyped for the rest of the Witcher show. I can already picture the best moments from the books playing with this theme.
@jackaloni30294 жыл бұрын
@Johnny Silverhand you pretty much nailed my thoughts on season 1. The next season should be all about establishing the core relationships, being Ciri and the Witchers as well as Ciri and Yennefer. Despite me feeling really impatient for the next season, I want them to take as much time as they need to adapt Sapkowski’s masterpiece to give it the quality it deserves.
@lisaanimi4 жыл бұрын
@Johnny Silverhand But Dandelion/Jaskier was absolutely perfect :) Personally I'd say it's a bit better than people say. Problem is that witcher fans are "used" to great content. Books are 10/10, the games are 10/10. Then the show is "just" 8/10. It's still really good but after all the fans have witnessed we are kinda spoiled :D
@mazanakaUA4 жыл бұрын
@@lisaanimi No. The show is not good overall. Just some parts of it, and those aren't many. (Dandelion, Geralt in a few scenes) Just as games got the books messages, mood and style mostly right, the show did the same -- mostly wrong. And it's supposed to be *based on the books*
@babyjiren96764 жыл бұрын
@@mazanakaUA Eh, it’s fine. It’s not the games, and it’s not meant to be. The SJW aspects are there but honestly not as blatant as I feared. I just look at the show as its own continuity and then it’s not that bad. Definitely amongst the better things to come out of Netflix. I feel like (as usual) people have these extraordinarily, almost insufferably strong opinions and expectations and when even a single one is not met they go on a tirade.
@mazanakaUA4 жыл бұрын
@@babyjiren9676 I wasn't comparing the series to the games, but to books, which it is supposed to be based on. The books, that handled questions of moral relativism, prejudice, reasons and motives behind such prejudice, on a day to day and historical levels, as well as using fantastical to underscore mundane and having the more ordinary, human, normal interactions contrasting all of the above pathos in much better ways than the series did. That they butchered the coherent, logical storyline for little to no reason, used different characterisation for characters, and, when all said and done, it's an entirely different thing from the books with a few names as referenses... All that makes it is a cash grab written by incompetent hacks and produced by similarly incompetent producers who have no respect for, or understanding of the original work.
