I think the reason I liked Death In Her Hands is because I work in a behavioral health hospital with the elderly population ... when you said that her loneliness has "made her inner world very rich" I laughed; it is a very polite way to describe paranoia / delusional disorders.I might start saying that myself haha. The character reminded me a lot of my patients. We prefer not to use the word crazy though :)

For me who had a great grandmother with Alzheimer's disease, it made even more painful and tearful to read this. It touched me in so many ways. Fedrik Backman is so talented and sensitive in this novella. It's on storytell in audiobook and ebook if you are interested
