I never liked ford FWD till I purchased a 2012 Transit connect Van. The Duratec Engine Family blew me away with its reliability, didn’t use a drop of oil, was extremely reliable and not one issue engine or sensor related for 175k miles when I sold it. I put most of those miles on over 5 years of ownership.

My first Throtl video I ever viewed was Anthony's Neon build with his father which was an amazing video and turned me onto this channel and I subscribed afterwards. Then seeing this as my second video and hearing about Anthony's Neon taking a dump was heartbreaking but then gifting the SVT Focus to Anthony was so wholesome. Anthony's smile said it all!

I love it! One thing I can recommend is just make sure you do the timing belt as soon as possible. If you don't know when it been done these cars are picky about it. There's a guy on EBAY who retrofits the proper 2 pound tensioner it's called 5 Acre Focus. Make sure you use the proper tensioner for the timing belt not the regular zetec.

It sucks that I don't know anybody in the car Community. My health went South. Anything that requires wrenching at weird angles and strenuous, I just hurt myself and have to take a 30-minute break after every 5 minutes to wait for the pain to subside or my heart rate to get back to normal. People I do know try to Swindle me out of every dollar they can get and never pay back. So my car is just sitting and doesn't require much work but I'm incapable of doing it by myself. It would be a blessing to find my car with a bow tie and everything fixed & done.

I used to have a 2005 Ford Focus ZX5 SES trim level in light green. It was fun to drive for a little car. I have a neighbor that has a 2002 Ford Focus sedan SE trim level. I even did looked inside of her car. I think that she forgot that I had a Focus in a different body style.

LUCKY GUY. I owned a 2001 zx3 and a 2005 Saleen Focus I loved both so much I now own a fully custom 2016 ST I miss the first gen body style with the 2 doors :)

It's almost a price of LS-meet tuners car. Somehow you've realized, it's salesmen come and buy it sequence. Again they will say it's London grand turizmo, but you are not wrong about it in a suzuki cappuccino. First thing you need to do Anthony is change timing belt on that thing if it hasn't already been done as part of the tune up. The svt/ST170 is an interference motor and will likely bend a valve or two if that belt goes. Best mod if you can swing it eventually would be a Quaife differential at some point. Enjoy buddy!
