Ive done surgery/chemo and now just got to do the regular checkups. Thanks for sharing your story Mickey! Everyone, if something doesn't feel right or seem right. Get it checked.

Hi Mickey So sorry to hear about your finger accident AND about your stage 2 cancer. I’m happy to hear that your surgery, prognosis and subsequent test results are favourable. I’ve lost both my parents to cancers and I know it’s an unpleasant journey. So glad everything has come back positive. The Throtl team and management hats off to all of them for standing by you and giving support. You’re an upstart guy and one I can relate. “The quiet achiever” but mate, did you need to go through both traumas to be noticed ? Keep fighting and stay strong. Like all the guys at the throtl shop, you’re awesome.. Look forward to you returning regularly but only when you’re up to it. Cheers from Thailand

I lost 50 pounds, and needed to lose it! I have a new lease on life as well, and take life and the people around me more gratefully now! I feel you brother, I have been cancer free since April, and hope to stay that way! Hope you heal up quickly, and F cancer!!

Hey Mickey, Was diagnosed with AML in November 2022 with a 6 week old bub at home. Had to go through a stem cell transplant. Just want you to know that you guys helped me get through the weeks and months at a time I spent in hospital. Yes I even watched Evan painting brake calipers. There were only 2 things which could calm a screaming bub at the worst times, Ms Rachel, and Mickey’s FD build. My boy will be 2 in a couple of weeks and he still gets excited when he sees you on TV. You guys may never know how much you helped, but just wanted to say thank you. Stay solid brother!!! Will keep you in my prayers. Massive fan, Orlando from Australia 👍

Mickey! I'm so glad you got the help you needed before things got any worse. I had the pleasure of meeting you last summer at a Quaker Steak car meet in Cleveland. You, Ricky and victor were walking around making sure you talked to everyone that came out individually. I introduced myself and then we proceeded to have a 10 minute conversation. When we were done talking you shook my hand and said "It was nice talking to you Nick". I was so blown away that you remembered my name after talking to hundreds of people that night. You are one of my favorite automotive influencers and it was nice seeing the love and appreciation you have for your fans. Nothing but respect for you! Cancer sucks, I'm in remission since 2020 after dealing with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. I battled near death during it and came out the other end strong. 18 months ago, I had a serious mountain bike accident that put me in hospital for months. I had to relearn how to walk and I lost the ability to use my left arm due to tearing nerves off my brachial plexus and breaking my back in 6 places. Forward 18 months and many surgeries I'm still unable to use my arm very well but I'm still strong. You either fight, or you let the fight beat you. Keep being super strong Mickey!
