REASSEMBLING the FREE 928 V8 ENGINE!!!!

I spent a LOT of time cleaning and reassembling the FREE 928 engine so I can reinstall it back in the car - it's one of the most complex cars I've worked on!

A friend worked at a "professional engine rebuild factory"....he concurs that if its cleaned and not visibly broken, an engine is "Overhauled" too , LoL

This is a pretty ambitious project, but you're pretty damn far along! Stoked to see this come to fruition.

The tip of the blue tape with the tightening order was gold, I never saw that idea before, will copy and use that in the future for sure. I don't know what you use to clean the engine and parts, but I use diesel with a soft or hard brush as a first steps, later some APC to remove the oil from the Diesel. Nice results, low cost. ;) Seems like this engine uses a lot of vacuum connections, have you checked/watch videos of those smoke testers? I did a home made one using a soldering iron and it helped me to find a vacuum leak on my Ford Ka. Keep the good work Jeff!

oh that's a good tip on using a smoke machine - I will probably end up with a vacuum leak somewhere!
