I can’t tell you how much I enjoy your videos. I took some trips with my Dad but I don’t believe I appreciated just how special the opportunity to travel with him really was. Your Dad reminds me of him … looks like him too. Please don’t tell him, but i have a bit of a crush on him!

Haleakala is so out of this world! I hiked the first part of the Sliding Sands Trail and the views were spectacular! Also encountered some endangered Nene geese at the visitor center further towards the bottom which was nice too.

Was just in Maui two weeks ago and cannot stress the weather comment enough. Check the weather report for the location you are planning to go because it changes so much based on where you are on the island, especially if you are headed into areas with no service like the Hana Highway. We had to drive out of the coastal district during a crazy storm and it was not fun.

Such a gorgeous experience! Big tip - when in Maui, never leave one little thing in your car, when parking. We visited back in the days of roll film (yes, I’m as old as Pops!), and I wanted to take my pre-shot film, including a spectacular sunrise on Haleakala, to get developed after a day at the beach. So, I had stashed them in a bag, hidden in the car. Thieves picked the lock to the hatchback of our rental car, pilfered everywhere for anything & took it! ☹️
