The boomerang card throw is an old favorite of mine, and a utility move that I use to select volunteers in my show. This video will show you how to throw a playing card so that it returns to your hand, impressing and amazing even skilled card-throwers!

Really cool to see how you do it! I produce the same effect by scissoring upper left corner between my index and middle finger. I then keep my wrist completely still and just extend the two fingers really quickly. This sends the card flying out with a lot of spin, producing the boomerang effect. Now, one thing I've started doing is trying to get the card as high as possible, and then trying to catch it. I wonder how high you can go, Rick?

Yeah I also use a much better method I think is called flick or fliq taught by Dan and Dave somewhere. Where you clip the card between your index and thumb then you flick it with your index

The spin comes from the flick of his wrist. Flicking it harder, while decreasing accuracy, should increase the spin! :D

If you already know how to throw a card, then bouncing it off the floor should be an easy feat. All you need is enough force in your throw and a floor that's smooth enough for the card to bounce off of. Carpet doesn't work. The trick is in the angle, my approach is generally a 60 degree angle towards the floor. Good luck! :D
