My only horse is buried on the farm. My nieces favorite horse is buried on the same as mine. This song hits home in so many ways. It should have been pretty upsetting, but somehow left me feeling, for lack of better words, pleasantly jocund. I love when the melody and words don't match like this. There's hardly a way to make "let the worms devour my insides" sound joyful but still morose enough to get the point across. I love how it's a sad story yet accompanied with a moderately upbeat melody, and a *beautiful* fiddle. Y'all are beautiful songwriters and artists. Keep on creating and releasing beautifully enchanting music.

When I sat at the porch of the old rebuilt barn with my dad this summer overlooking the exquisitely beautiful surroundings, the valley and the green woody mountains, Paradise unsought came to my mind. It was a heaven on earth. We both felt blissful enjoying our buns served with coffee. It was a feast for the eye. I hope we'll live to see another summer. My experience and this video, well, the thought occurred to me that beauty in one form or another is within everybody's reach. If you believe, the Garden of Eden isn't far away 💚🌿

I was at the album release show in Nashville last night and I woke up with this song in my head this morning. It's a good reminder first thing in the morning, and it reminds me of my farmer grandpa. Thanks for making music like this

What does “thicket” mean? Sorry I’m not American 😅 but this is my current fav song. So beautiful

Here comes the auxiliary force! I don't wanna beat about the bush, but good wine needs no bush and there are no bounds to me right now. lol Well, "thicket" is brushy bushes, shrubbery, you know what "bush" is, right? "Scrub" is a small one, "shrub" a larger one, and you may also find "brambles" and "brushwood", all kinds of underwood. I agree with you regarding this song and their video is simply one of the most beautiful I've ever seen... I hope I've been of some help and remember: Do not halloo until you are out of the wood.

I just love this music and the lyrics, some people want to get burried over an ocean, others want to get burried in the thicket, all that is ok for me. The Local Honeys are marvelous, when will we get to see you live on stage again?

LOVE this song. (like it much better without the band and production....just the guitar and banjo and voices is better than this version.)
