I overlooked mentioning in my last comment, these wonderful people who are willing to pour their time, their knowlege, their skills, their hard earned cash into building these amazing hotrods deserve our utmost respect and appreciation. Few of us are willing to do it, we have tons of excuses and any one of them work (my ol Dad used to tell me -"Go ahead, use that one, it will work but it's still an excuse") but THESE PEOPLE don't make excuses, they "JUST DO IT!" and we so much Thank them for it.

John Z the biggest problem has always been the cost, incentive has never been lacking, nor has ability. If you ever actually try getting into drag racing, nowadays you have to be somewhat wealthy, especially if you want to compete with these types of cars, speaking from experience, we've raced everything from stockers (s/s) to funny cars. I think you mean admired and envied. this Is how I would put it.
@Mike5835 жыл бұрын
My first time going to the US Nationals was 1970. A few years later I was able to go several years in a row. I feel bad for all those that missed out on all the great racing back then! Ohio George & his 429 Mustangs, Wild Willy, Stone Woods & Cook. Mad Dog, Dyno Don, Mr.4 speed, Grumpy, Dandy Dick...& so so many more legends that are no longer with us. Sad they can't really miss what they never knew...The Greatest Days Of Drag Racing!!!❤

When I was younger my dad took me to OCIR, Carlsbad, and Pamona. All the time. I am so thankful that my dad exposed to the hot rodding family. Now I pass the torch to my younger brothers and anybody else. Building hot rods is about family, creativity, and enjoyment. Something so simple yet so fun.
