21:38 you didn’t notice, but in Roly-poly there were already 7 of them too. 17:20 here it is, the CURSE of the T-ARA - Hwayoung. An ABSOLUTELY UNTALENTED, spoiled, lazy daughter of a rich daddy, who stuck her into an already famous group, having agreed with the CEO of the group. Then she broke up the group, falsely accusing the other members of bullying, although she herself sabotaged the performances.

THE STORY OF T_ARA: T_ARA is one of the most experimental, unique & crazy groups!their CEO is crazy,he made them do all of crazy staff & magically it worked out for them with the six girls talent,charm & hard work,they made for themselves an importing place in kpop legacy even thought them coming from a not famous/established company ; they focused on catchy hooks& choreos or super unique concepts&genres to get people attention; they worked SUPER HARD with back to back releases & were all over the entertainment world to promote the gp, they had fun&funny personalities so even if people didnt enjoy much their songs they enjoyed their appearances; But there's a bit of tragedy that happened to the gp due to the CEO greed ,he wanted to exploit the gp success & kept adding members instead of debuting new one; one of the girl that was 1st added to TARA was the reason for a their downfall in Korea,"apparently hwayoung "that girl" was the daughter of some rich friend of the CEO,she wanted to be a celebrity,the CEO added her to an already established gp "TARA", but it seems that she didnt like the part of constante work & was slacking ,kept making excuses & been absent from practices & even faked an injury when they were going for a tour in Japan,seems the other girls didnt like her attitude& how she took their hard work for granted esp that most came from middle class families so one day she came to the airport with a cast & with all her full act when they were going to Japan then after couple days she published a shady post that kinda accused the other girls of bullying her & from that day people kept on making rumors& speculations & they were labeled bullies & what made it worst is how the company had dealt with all of that by trying to protecting the rich girl more than the gp reputation & so the public & some media boycotted them, yet they endured the last 2/3 years of their contract & still did so good esp that they had a dedicated & strong fandom in Japan&Asia and they were one of the most popular internationally for a 2nd gen gg so they still made good amount of sales & did bunch of tours ect; couple of years ago the reality of Hwayoung lies,bad attitude&faking the accusations were exposed (even though a lot of people&fans exposed it in the past) by the confessions of staff & people in the industry who worked with the gp

The member timeline is a bit of a crazy situation for T-ara. Originally started out as 5 pre-debut with a member that later went on to be in Spica. There was 6 members at debut - Soyeon, QRI, Boram, Eunjung, Hyomin, and Jiyeon. Then Hwayoung gets added. Then Areum and Dani (sorta, Dani wasn't officially promoting and because she was 6yrs younger than the maknae she was like their "little sister". You'll see her in a few MVs). Areum, Dani, and Hwayoung are in the group together for maybe a month or two before Hwayoung leaves. Then Areum and Dani leave. Then Soyeon and Boram leaves, leaving the group as a 4 member. Every member of the original debuted 6 besides Jiyeon has been the leader as some point as well, currently it is Qri.

12:14 🤣 So I'm pretty sure the female character in Bo Peep Bo Peep is supposed to be a Gumiho (9 tailed fox) which is a pretty common myth in East Asia. They are generally depicted as a seductress The dance for Roly Poly is addictive af, I still break out into it sometimes 😂 20:36 Lol no but there is a ballad version of Cry Cry which is amazing and you'll hear it in the drama version Yeah... there was the original 6 for a long time... Then Hwayoung was added Then Areum was added Then they pseudo added Dani (she's in some MVs but doesn't sing) Then Hwayoung...left. Then Areum left And we were back to the original six..all this happened in a very short time and was very...turbulent. Then Soyeon and Boram left when their contracts expired in 2017. So current members are Eunjung, Hyomin, Qri and Jiyeon. 😂 I realise it's probably not on the list since its a subunit song, but T-ara N4's Jeonwon Diary slapppps. Also, some of the lyrics are pretty...correct to how they were feeling at the time, I assume 😂 It was released quite soon after an incident where one member (Hwayoung) pretended to be bullied by the other members and pretty much ruined their careers in the process. It was very rough on the members, since the whole general public assumed they were bullies for YEARS after (from 2012-2017) and they went from being REALLY popular (like, topping the charts every release) to only promoting in China since Korea wasn't interested. It eventually came out that Hwayoung was lying and her and her twin sister Hyoyoung (also an idol in the group Five Dolls under the same company) were actually the bullies. Some of the things Hyoyoung texted to T-ara member Areum were truly disgusting. The truth came out eventually, although I never fully believed the members were bullies, personally. What I'm trying to say is in the non-story MV for Jeonwon Diary when Jiyeon looks directly into the camera and says "Mind Your Own Business" I felt it in my soul and I hope you watch it at some point 🤣 That was a bit of a sidetrack 😂 oops Hope you enjoyed my essay on the history of T-ara lol

Ahhh the good old days of K-pop...T-ara was very popular during their time...i call them among the majestic 5 of 2nd gen Girl groups...SNSD, 2NE1, WONDERGIRLS, KARA & T-ARA.. Bo peep was soo popular that it was banned for students because it was interfering student's focus on the korean national exam (weard but it happened)...and Roly Poly goes down in the history books of k-pop iconic songs....it was the most downloaded k-pop track in 2011, and is still being covered by new idols...they were known for their addicting EDM-esque beats & songs are often very catchy...very popular in the china

Roly Ploy is my favorite song, good rythme, good choregraphie and not difficult to do, clip is very good. a mini drama version is available and they are acting well. A very good song to listen is "Why do you act like that". allmost all of their song are very good. T-ARA ❤

Thank you for reacting to T-ara, my favourite K-pop group :) They were the prime girl group under what is now MBK Entertainment. They debuted in 2009 with "Lie" as a 6-member group, and are known for their "chameleon concepts" (they can pull off any concept and always change between very extreme concepts) and catchy electronic dance hooks in their songs! As well, they are well-regarded now for really digging into the drama MVs, they even pulled off a movie-level budget with top-list actors for their "Cry Cry" MV, and the reason they could do this is thanks to their members, Jiyeon and Eunjung (and maybe Hyomin), they were originally training to be actresses before joining the group's lineup ;o The songs here are a great balance between their two major styles, their more dance ballad, Latin-influenced songs produced by Cho Young-Soo ("Lie" and "Cry Cry") as well as their catchy, electronic dance hook songs produced by Shinsadong Tiger ("Bo Peep Bo Peep" and "Roly-Poly"). In particular, their debut was fine, but "Bo Peep Bo Peep" really capitalized on trends in the market, such as the catchy earworm hook and the catchy cat-inspired choreo! Then, "Roly-Poly" blew up and cemented them as a household name, it ended up being the best-selling girl group album in Korea when it released in 2011! And then "Cry Cry" was an insanely popular follow-up release. There's actually a dance ver. MV of "Bo Peep Bo Peep" which focuses more on the members and their cute charms haha. The 18+ MV that you watched is definitely...something lol. I guess the lady is an evil cat-lady who "eats up" men XD Also, "Roly-Poly" has a 12-minute drama-like MV which is a must-watch, it really captures the essence of the "retro concept" that the song was going for :) Debut Lineup Members (OT6): -Boram, the oldest although she looks the youngest and is the shortest, she wears pink with denim jacket in "Roly-Poly". I consider her the jack of all trades in the group, she can do singing, rapping, and dancing, and fills in for other members often. She left the group in 2017 after her contract expired. -Qri ("Q-ree"), the current leader and considered the "lucky charm" as she has the first part in their most popular songs, such as "Bo Peep Bo Peep", "Roly-Poly", and "Cry Cry". She has the pigtails in "Roly-Poly". -Soyeon, the main vocalist whose vocals you enjoyed at about 6:55 in "Lie", her vocals really have such a unique emotional tone that is completely unique in K-pop. She wears all white in "Roly-Poly". She left the group in 2017 after her contract expired. -Eunjung, a main vocalist and rapper, she often has a short bob cut and a big smile. She's also highly active as an actress. She has the bob cut and polka-dot headband in "Roly-Poly". -Hyomin, a main vocalist and rapper, she's often taking the lead parts, and has sunglasses in "Roly-Poly". Along with Eunjung, they were the two main rappers (at 7:00) in debut era, and could be considered some of the earliest all-rounders in 2nd-gen girl groups! In later years, other members have taken up rap parts too. -Jiyeon, vocalist and the youngest member (maknae), and the face of the group. She's the center member during the dances in "Roly-Poly". She has that unique, lower-register vocal tone at 4:45 and 15:30 that you like, and she's also been highly active as an actress. Other members -Hwayoung, she joined the group in 2010 and has the rap in "Roly-Poly". She unfortunately was the center of the bullying scandal which marred T-ara's name in 2012, where she bullied a new member, but acted like she was a victim of bullying instead. She was removed from the group in 2012, but cyber "sleuths" had found "evidence" that she was a victim, which resulted in defamation of the group's name. The truth would finally be revealed in 2017, that in fact Hwayoung had been the true bully. -Ahreum, she joined the group in 2012 (not present in these MVs) and was bullied by Hwayoung. She later left the group in 2013.

idk all that much abou t-ara, i mostly just enjoy a "silly" song so those are the ones i remember the clearest, but ill try my best to have thoughts this time again ^^ i didnt remember the dance shots of bopeepbopeep like at all xd i did always just think she's supposed to be like a cat version of a kumiho(nine tailed foxes, i think theyre usually like they take the form of sexy women and eat the organs of men? theyre the same genre of folklore creatures as kitsunes if youre more familiar with those. but not exactly the same. one of the members of t-ara was in a really popular kdrama where the main character is a gumiho!). but maybe shes just a werecat, idk the (co)producer of bpbp and rolypoly... you'll hear his work again soon. i mean, youve certainly heard it before, and youll hear him in the next video, and probably in most of your coming throwback videos. theres a number of ggs he worked a lot for and youre currently on two of them. anyway, i bring this up to say, apparently(no way for me to know if its true), he was somehow inspired by toilet paper rolls to write bo peep bo peep? it said that when i was trying to figure out if i could find an actual summary of the mv(cus i get curious too) i really like the concept of roly poly, i think its very charming as a retro concept. the album its on(john travolta wannabe) is my favorite album design of theirs (the other ones arent very, like... inspired, they just look like any gg album), i think its cute oh its been centuries since i last saw cry cry. i dont recognise that song by name at all for some reason fun fact: choi yena's brother was in a group with [the member we don't like]'s sister (who we also don't like), one of the few coed kpop groups. not that they lasted long, but still

The MV you watched for Bo Peep Bo Peep is the "adult" version. There is another PG type version. And to answer your question, yes T-ara added a member in Cry Cry. I believe she joined in the song before Cry Cry, which was called Day by Day. However, unfortunately the new member was allegedly hated by the other members, and then eventually left the group, she is now doing acting, her name is Ryu Hwayoung. Also, miss watching their MVs. Park Jiyeon was my bias, one of the vocalists. She is also a good actress too, she appeared in the drama called "God of Study" or something similar. Also, please check out their other songs, like "I Go Crazy Because of You", aforementioned "Day by Day", "TTL (Time to Love)" parts 1 and 2. Part 1 is them only, and part 2 is featuring a boy group called supernova. And the ballad version of "Cry Cry". They also have a song collab with the duo called Davichi with "we used to love" (i think thats what it was called).
