Not that one group - one of a whole array of queens of sexyness. Sistar were one of the best, able to combine their natural sex appeal with a variety of musical styles, but they were one of a number of groups doing the same thing at the same time. It was a great era of kpop, and there hasn't really been an equivalent from girlgroups since like 2016, outside of the ones from that era that were/are still going, which is a real shame. I still hold out hope that Sistar will have a special comeback down the line, maybe on an anniversary or something.

SISTAR were literally summer queens. They always had comebacks in summer so they acquired that title but now that they disbanded, summer is no longer the same. We miss them so much. We want SISTAR back.

Sistar is from a humble company and make a name from it,they make head to head with biggest group like 2NE1,GG,Bigbang,4minute,SuperJunior,EXO on music shows and won twice MAMA best girlgroup during their era. Thing I love about Sistar, and the girl groups of the 2010-15 era that owned sexiness - AOA, Stellar, Girl's Day, Miss A etc - they do it so effortlessly, so naturally, it doesn't feel forced at all. They're just owning their sex appeal and being empowered and proud of it. It doesn't feel exploitative or like the camera is leering at them - it's just pure, natural female strength, and I love the way that Sistar carried themselves. They always seemed like one of the most outspoken and honest groups when I saw them together on shows or hanging out together.
