I got one yesterday exactly the same style and vintage as yours but with a shiny all chrome upper part and a black cup. It was at a community yard sale for a dollar. I cleaned it up and it works just fine. I wanted to see what others had to say about this model so I was lucky to find your video. Thanks for making it.

Wow that’s a goodie right there my grandparents had one of them . 👏🏻👏🏻❤️ ohh the memories are flooding in my mind right now. They use to have big parties back in the 60’s and used that all the time it was mounted to the bar they had in the kitchen.

Another fun video Kym! 1) Can you crush your ice cubes (made in trays) in the built in ice maker in the freezer? We also have an ice maker which is disconnected (after a refrigerator water line break and a huge flooding issue!) Now when I do make cubes in trays I just fill up the dispenser and use it to dispense cubes or use it to crush the ice cubes. Not as fun as a vintage Ice-O-Mat but it does work. 2) I am fairly certain that my grandparents had those glasses with the black and pink designs. Grandma made malts and we used those glasses for that. They were in a specific cabinet where there were also cute little glasses with an orange design that we used for orange juice. Oh how I miss my grandparents and how I wish I had some of those vintage items now. Btw, my great grandfather (grandma’s dad) worked at Mirro in Manitowoc, WI way back in probably the 50’s and 60’s. I think grandma had every Mirro item ever made! Oh how we took all that made in the USA cookware for granted. Have a great day! God Bless

Hi Cyndi! Actually I had the same water line leak issue! I checked and my fridge doesn’t crush so I’ll have to stick to the ice-o-mat! So cool your Grandma had those glasses too. And wow to have all the Mirro gadgets would be so cool!

I think the ice o mat is awesome and I would definitely definitely use one, I think the design aesthetics alone are worth it, think it did a great job quite quickly, perhaps crushing a smaller amount would be easier for the vertically challenged myself included in that category !! 😄 Love to you, your family and Frankie 🐾💕 Xx
