All female based sitcoms, especially Laverne and Shirley, are based on I Love Lucy. Look at the duos out there. I am not disparaging them. It just is what it is. The ensemble casts are really the best way to go. And even they all go back to the golden age of television somehow.

I see so much of Lucille Ball in Fran's performance in this scene. By far The Nanny is the funniest sitcom. I love it so much I have the DVD box set of the entire show. Sure wish they would do a reboot.

Lucille Ball and fran fine have no relevance to each other. They are both good in different era and not a comparison. Fran is much more acting out of a comedy that is based on British humour. m not Lucille Ball. I am European of course.

This show was a PASSIONATE representation of the love Fran and her ex had for entertainment. This is very hard TV to do in front of a live audience. In all this time it’s beautiful and timeless.

it was guacamole you could tell by the texture, there is no way should could have ingested that much Wasabi at once (maybe an experienced competitive eater could handle that).

I did the same exact thing my first time eating sushi. I was 12, and I had no idea what it was. I saw this little ball of green and thought "wow, this must be some veggie stuff" and put the whole ball in my mouth. I RAN for my life to the toilets. Washed down the whole thing with a bottle of coca cola. Everyone in the restaurant was pissing themselves laughing

The last part is comody gold !. How the voice got changed (but audience does not realize it until she mention about it), she question how long it will last and suddenly she get her normal voice back. But funnest is how she accepts her voice getting back to normal at the end with a facial expression and shoulder movement to say "oh well, yeah whatever !"..!

Once somebody offered me *wasabi peas.* I thought they were just plain dried peas so I took a handful and chucked it in my mouth. I had the same reaction as Fran. 😅 Never again! Stayed away from wasabi ever since..

My father once ate a handful of Wasabi without knowing it and the Owner gave him a look that showed he respected a man who could handle such heat. Inside my father was dying but never showed it. It was melting him.

The same thing happened to me when I was a kid. I was eating sushi and thought the wasabi was lime paste, so I put a heaping amount on top and ate it in one bite. I was in for a nasty surprise.

Hahahaha! Used to love watching this show on Sony Entertainment Television in Latin America..... they had all the American Network TV shows in one channel!
