Hi John, very good question, they used to collect from the piers when they had the jetties, I believe Central jetty was demolished in the mid 70's but well before that the last passengers.

Not been to Blackpool since 2018 - pain me saying it what with the many years of history I have with the place BUT so much of the place needs upgrading and FAST! All the three piers are very rundown, the place is also waaay 2 expensive now, many people just don't have the spare cash now. I'd love 2C the place improve, only then would I consider a return visit.
