I love how accepting the group is about the pronouns in the beginning. It was handled by all parties simply and tactfully. This is a fun group.

Because who in their right mind responds to "hey so I go by 'they'" with "how dare"? It's just a baseline respect thing, akin to telling someone your name and expecting them to call you by it instead of making something up. I genuinely don't understand people who think otherwise lol

That’s true. Loads of other people on YT would’ve been toxic or rude about it. Pretty sad that ppl act that way still, but good to see normal adult people who know how to be mature about this basic stuff

IIRC Ash posted a statement talking about their experiences working at AH during the whole RT/AH working conditions debacle at the beginning of October and they said that everyone at AH has been incredibly supportive of their transition, for lack of a better word ( I don't how Ash himself describes it), and that support has helped them become more comfortable in embracing being transmasc.

I was gonna reply to a comment from someone asking about preferred pronouns, but the comment must have been deleted (for good reason). So instead, I'll post it on its own. Hopefully it can help anyone else with little to no knowledge. When people talk about their "preferred pronouns," they're saying that they are more comfortable with whatever said pronouns are, as you could guess. Like, for example, if someone is transgender. Say they were born male and were transitioning to female (like me). Their preferred pronouns would most likely be she/her or she/they. This is helpful to announce if it's a relatively new thing, or if they don't sound feminine (voices are hard to master, trust me), or if it's a new group of people. The reason people would want to be sure to announce their preferred pronouns is because it is usually psychologically troubling for LGBTQ people to be addressed with the wrong pronouns (addressing the example person above as "he" or "sir," for example). I get that it can be annoying if you hear it a lot, especially if it's the same people throughout videos. But I ask that you bear with it and try to understand. Eventually, it should become second nature to absorb that sort of information. Anyway, that's all from me. Hopefully you read this in full and it helped broaden your perspective! ❤🧡💛💚💙💜

"(For good reason)" And what might that reason be? All you said was that they were *"asking about* preferred pronouns." You didn't say that they said anything *negative* about the topic or the people involved, so why *should* it have been deleted from your POV? Your comment reads as "insecure" in regards to whatever the person you were originally responding to said, because I don't see how *asking* for clarification on something alone deserves censorship. Surely they would at least have had to use insults or something to have caused this reaction from you? I'm curious why they would be so negative or harsh on the subject just to end up deleting their comments. People tend to be quite beyond unreasonably touchy on this subject no matter which side of it they deem themselves to be on though, so maybe I shouldn't be surprised...
