The world today needs more ministers like Dr McGee. Not multi-media extravaganza megachurches, not botoxed pastors in Polo shirts slinging corny jokes, not deep sea fishing/superbowl party/deer hunting ministries. A single man's voice, speaking Truth with manifest sincerity of conviction, is how the first Christians were converted, and it will be thus the last flickers of Light in a dying world.

McGee went from a guy I used to impersonate to one of my go-to theologians for Bible study. I should have been listening back then, maybe I was haha.

I am a recent listener up here in Canada, I am so blessed by his teaching of the Word, line upon line, pretty much the way we study the bible in our Bible study group. My faith has grown stronger and deeper.... "For the Word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account." HEBREWS 4 :12-13 (NIV)

I thank God for Pastor Mc Gee and I will cherish his legacy through getting the Gospel around the world so sinners can be saved. Pastors Mc Gee and also Pastor Rogers both will not be replaced. Their sermons will remain timeless for generations.

I lived in San Marcos CA. I recall hearing the passing of Dr, McGee on the radio, while driving west part of San Marcos, I listen to him on my radio faithfully going to work or at work, and or headed home, generally Chuck Simth I catch later in the day. I keep through the bible on my desk top. I loved that old man.

well it worked. ive been listening to him on Sunday radio. this video just informed me that he is long since passed. wow. I'm glad I have the privilege of hearing him preach. he is my favorite. his voice is so classic and makes me interested in the message. I hope there is a heaven and he is in it.

Heaven is real, and eternal life is a free gift that has been paid for by Christ alone. He died for our sins was buried and rose again from the dead on the third day we receive God's free gift only by faith in Jesus Christ as our Savior

You can listen to Oliver Greene where are the dead?.... Danny Castle.... J Vernon McGee Sunday sermons...all right here on KZbin.,...the same message they are preaching.... Jesus Christ saves sinners....I am glad that the ministry of Dr McGee is now going around the world in over 100 languages... If they can translate a few Sunday sermons in a few languages it would be a bigger blessing....I am glad to hear his messages about Jesus Christ and I am sure millions of people feel the same way.... God bless everyone and save the souls nearest hell ....in Jesus name amen

This ministry is reaching people with GOD’S love & living Word, worldwide. I remember the first day I heard him, he sounded like a wise loving grandfather, the five year through the Bible is pure gold, like seminary education ❤️

Thank God for Dr. McGee and Thru The Bible Radio Program and I believe my Sister Bessie's prayers were answered "that anyone using this mode of communication would be able to hear God's Word as taught by Dr.McGee!

I used to listen to Dr. McGee in the 1980s everyday on the radio, along with 'Chapel of the Air,' too. I was saved in 1982 or so. I loved these shows as I traveled many miles each week.

I listen and love the way God uses Dr. J Vernon while being absent from us physically. I desire to hear his work & words as much as possible. I have a calling and I'm inspired to continue and fulfill that mission. One day I will be gone and I pray that The Lord uses me to be effective like Mr McGee.

How do you know if a bible instructor is teaching you the Bible properly? Listen to that Bible instructor’s lessons 31 years after he died and ask yourself “Does this seem applicable to me today? Does the message seem like it leaped off of the pages of today’s news journals and newspapers of say, this morning?” It’s probably a good indication of just where to start studying the Bible! I miss this man of God!

35 years ago when I came to the Lord; b4 internet, radio was our go to. J Vernon McGee was a main stay for many of us. We enjoyed his in depth commentary on the scriptures both old & new testament. They were very enjoyable.. Although, as we have grown in understanding of God's word. And in listening to the reverend now, that I pick up that there were some Very important bible doctrines the Rev. didn't understand. Which implies that he was on the 'ouside' looking in. 1. Necessity of water baptism & the major importance of Jeus' name in this event 2. The spiritual mystery of Holy Ghost infilling speaking in tongues 3. The doctrine of laying on of hands, etc. And because he lacked those experiences & was without understanding he tended to ridicule many of those doctrines. I believe God blessed much of his work, indeed. Yet the Lord blesses us many times to the extent that we seek him. If one seeks the $1000, God gives it. But if one has the audacity to seek the $10,000, God gives it.
