I was a long haul driver, every time I found TTB, I listened until either it ended for the day, or I got out of range of my radio. My wife and I want to gain as much understanding of God's word as out mere human brains can absorb. We are on the Bible bus as of this day.

Dr. McGee is my mentor. People who are not very familiar with the Bible think that I have great knowledge about the Word of God, I have some knowledge and what I have I thank the Lord for putting Dr. McGee on my path for it is because of his teachings that I've learned to love the Word of God and my mentor gave me the thirst to know more and more of my Lord Jesus Christ. I hope that when I am in heaven I will be in Dr. McGee's class for I believe he will be there continuing his studies and passing it on to me and others. Learning to know our awesome God will be an eternal task and a delightful joy.

I remember listening to him in the morning before I went to school. My mother would be playing it on the radio. Later in my adult life I found it again and begin listening. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.

Yes!! While driving us to school my mom had this playing in the station wagon! As a kid the thing I remembered most was the song at the beginning and end of the program.

i've always enjoyed dr mcgee's teaching. i started listening to him in 1986 and then he was gone. he passed away too quickly for me. but i know he had a long career and fruitful life before he went to be with the lord. i still read his work and am still convinced that he is one of the greatest bible teachers of our time. his teachings have helped me not just to understand the words of the bible but how to practically apply the bible's message to my life in many different ways and areas.

He brought me back to God, though in my heart I had never left. I couldn't wait to hear the program as the sun was coming up. I found that some of my friends who were waiting for the program after his to come on the radio tuning in early to hear this person with a strange accent, and then they were hooked as well. Dr.McGee has changed countless lives with his charm and the holy Spirit . Praise God.

How wonderfully blessed we become when we first read the scriptures, and hop on the Bible Bus. The Journey of a lifetime getting to know our Savior and understanding the role of a Christian, discovering our own talent and gifts God has given us as individuals to share the Gospel. Being on the Bible Bus with Dr. Magee has given me truthful insight into God's Word. I have been able to use his ministry as a tool to reach others for Christ and help them grow in Christ through TTB. I write down the men of God he's learned from or a reference to another Minister so I can search for them and enjoy hearing/reading those as well. Dr. Magee surely had am amazing testimony coming from a small town farm to the Man who surrender his life to Christ preaching to thousands across the globe. To honor Dr. Magee is to share the Gospel of Salvation!

Back in the day (I am sixty years old), when I was in my early twenties, I would listen to this man on the radio. I had been a baptized Christian since I was 10 years old. I had been wrapped up in my own youth oriented self centered ways since about 15 years old. Yet despite my self-centered attitude, I could NEVER turn this man off! Your so right about him staying away from politics, or even the rampant onslaught of the new-age philosophies of the times! BUT.... rather he gave to the Christian minded a SOLID framework of just what a Christian was, and in turn would give one a Christian conscious that in turn, would guide a Christian in how to deal with the politics, philosophies, and even false Christian doctrines so prevalent in the world then, and especially now. In my opinion he was a true man of god! And I am so glad that his ministry lives on in his recorded studies of bible! In my opinion, his recordings are more helpful to a Christian today, than they were then!

I've never heard a more learned teacher of God's Word. My dad listened to him for years until he passed and I'm listening now. I've heard him on the radio for years myself and have his 5 volume commentary of the Bible. Dad read it for years and every time I pick it up to read, I can actually hear the unique pronunciation of each word as he spoke. His voice resonates through the ages.

Dr. J. Vernon Mcgee is a man of simplicity and wisdom, who rightly dividing the word of God without compromise. He's one of the pillars of Conservative Christianity in his time, along with Pastors John Macarthur,David Hocking,John Hagee,Chucks Swindle,David Jeremiah,Charles Stanley and the late Perry F. Love McGee! I was a baby Christian, and I tried to listen to him but couldn't at first because of his accent and would turn the radio to something else. But I kept coming back because his teaching was so profound, and he made it easy to understand. Now, fourty years later I just recently bought a full set of his Thru the Bible books for each of my four grandchildren. ❤ Thank you Dr. McGee.

McGee was and is still being used of God to lead thousands to the saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, through faith in the pure gospel of Jesus Christ, i.e. His death for your sins and bodily resurrection from the dead for your justification. He's the only Bible teacher, I have ever heard, who was able to bring out the Lord Jesus Christ on almost every page of Scripture. Although, when he attempts to change Scripture and/or say a certain verse is not in the "better manuscripts," I tune that out and remain steadfast with the AV text. A word of caution against David Jeremiah, since he is in this video. This man leavens God's Word by teaching psychology, i.e., doctrines of devils, and uses masonic gestures as he preaches. In his "purpose driven" church, above his pulpit, there is a stained glass window, facing the East, that has the image of the all-seeing-eye, along with an obelisk. It was unfortunate that Dr. McGee was taken in by this deceiver. I believe his high intellect blinded him, as well as thinking these types of men were rising up to continue in his footsteps. Paul's warning is just as important today, "For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. 30Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them. 31Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears. "
