The rudder problem is probably a little rotary plasic thingy that has a crack in it. This plastic object is placed between a sensor which checks the axis. Had a logitech G27 steering wheel with the same issue. Replaced it with a brass one, which I found online, and it fixed the problem. :)

Thank you for sharing your observations! Another trick with the throttle that the SR-71 “Blackbird” pilots used to do to with the throttle is to lightly wiggle the throttle handle to break the friction to allow very tiny adjustments to be made. Have fun!

but that decreases the "solidity' of the entire piece in the long term. Because it is made of plastic, it becomes wiggly while handling it. after the second year using it I started using that methot and 1 year later I could clearly feel the difference.

For the throttle, you can actually change the toughness of the throttle to make it easier or harder to move it forward and back.

You need to grease the rails of the throttle to get the smooth action back. There's also a tension adjusting screw underneath which may or not be able to fix it a bit. The best grease to use is Nyogel 767A.

for those who don't live in a country where nyogel doesn't cost the price of the throttle itself, you can use clear packing tape to cover every part that contacts the rails and use regular old silicone grease, smooth as butter and with a little bit of resistance as well, if your z axis stops working correctly you can also diy a hall effect mod with a specific sensor, a stack of round magnets and hot glue

I just unboxed on t.16000m stick. Do you have ANY play in the axises? If i put my finger on the top of the stick it leans 1-2 mm inside the center in x-axis. This kinda is and is not problem cause the sensor reads it. Many ppl have claimed about this. Some say the stick stays put no matter what. Well it does need any deadzone in dcs YET, but i can bet that will be a problem after some time. But thats kinda only thing that annoys me. Now when your video rolled backround again, i noticed while writing this that you even also mentioned this. It actually is not problem (if it even comes a problem for me) cause it can be easily corrected like with one to 3 clicks of deadzone with my friends stick two years old, which is nothing compared to my two year old logitechs needed deadzones. Still was kinda annoying to find that from new stick what centers hard. OFC it should have also NO movement inside that hard center. But yeah, in this price level, nothing can really compete it. BTW many ppl have put real rollerbearings in throttle.. then its kinda as long as sensors keep up stuff!
@BluGames Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the update. I hope it works out for you for a while
@lasselahti4056 Жыл бұрын
@@BluGames Yeah. The stick is even "erotic" to fly after 20 years of saitek x45, though i loved that stick as long it worked. I think also that it is more clever in very hard use to buy cheaper GOOD hotas, for ~120bucks, if it breaks, so what. If I breaked 1000bucks hotas-> big cry. I feel more "have to be carefull" when i am betting my hard use on 100 bucks towards 1000 bucks. Ofc those high end sticks one can buy parts that worn etc etc kinda forever, but still... Not ANY HOTAS can compete with buttons, and quality what comes to sensors. The mechanics are what they are, but so what. And as I said earlier, this can be tuned to very badass. My friend has metal roller bearings inside the throttle. I think I will buy another throttle just for tuning it, it will feel more metallic, but then its metal to metal, with real bearings, and good sensor. What comes to the buttons / price that is also insane in the throttle. Analog TDC slew switch is something that there is NONE other in this price level. Buttons are also very nicely stationed in the throttle, and those little red buttons I use as pinkie switches. So I got 3x19 buttons in it + pov + analog + rudder axis :D and that under 100 bucks so... I totally can recommend this if wanting cheap hotas. I fly this with kinda every plane in DCS. Many ppl claim that there is too few povs etc buttons in the stick, but I always try to remind that use pinkie switches... And btw that third button under the pov switch in the stick I also use as pinkie. It can be easy pressed with one thumb while using the pov with same thumb. For example in dcs i have the view in it and trim with button3+move the pov. Thanks for good video, I think I will subscribe :)
@lasselahti4056 Жыл бұрын
Have now used it little over a month. Learned whole f-16 with it, and have flown hornet about 60hours then. And a few hours with FC3 planes. The keybinds for hornet are very convinient to make, and with every other plane also. And btw, today I kinda accidentally binded joysticks rudder axis to horizontal view in hornet. Cut y axis to 60 and put curve of 40 or something. Now I can turn my head (have not trick IR, broken) kinda easily with it, OFC the best in it that I can look behind from stick very quickly while defending etc. (using pedals ,dont need that axis kinda for anything). Found this very nice "tip". With fc3 planes I use that same bind with throttles rudder axis (that plastic plate in front of the throttle. Though in it one must se kinda big curve..) Try this if you dont have trick IR but have pedals. ONLY thing in whole setup that annoys me sometimes, is the stickyness from the factory of the throttle.. Found that silicon spray was very good for it, but as a spray it wears off kinda quickly. And ofc "melts" original grease, more or less. But thats easily fixable. Have thinked of putting little piece of hard and not matte plywood instead of that brake spring. It seems that only if I can strut it more stiff, it would slide better. The spring jumps goes wobbly etc and that is what is causing the wobblyness of that throttle. (In my opinion TM has saved money from wrong place with that one, because it would not need much effort from factory to update that plastic sledge in a way that it would not be glunky. But STILL VERY happy with setup / price. I just like the buttons architechture in this so much that have used this instead of my more expensive hotas. :) (Actually T.16000m is very close to modern planes HOTAS. For example F35 has sliding thorttle with A LOT of buttons and knobs and what ever, where stick has been trend to be made more "just a stick". The planes have gone so good IRL that the stick is the one that one makes less touching :) Or.. well you guys get the point..
@lasselahti4056 Жыл бұрын
And oh The original "movement inside center zone" has gone away totally just by using the stick. I think it was just the spring rolling to its place. I even drawed back the warranty question / "Ticket" from TM. I think I will buy one of these just while I still can... It goes like 100 euros now in Finland! (HOTAS set)

I drilled some hole, some threaded rods M6 for the thrustmaster as stated in the specs, a piece of plank and some plywood, mount between the legs and this baby is really good. If you can drill the table it's like two holes at the edge towards you. I mean it cost me 2 dollars all in all in off cuts I had lying around. This is where it shines. Replaced the spring, just like keychains through each other just unwind the spring through the cable and wind in a new one. Do want to wind a new spring as this one is really loose made from random wire. But you have the fine control when it;s between the legs. It's really moddable. And as a righty, I keep the handrest on the left and get a longer stick. That way I can hold it way lighter and stay relaxed on 2 3 hours flights. And do grease it please. Acrylic grease, I used this one found locally used in espresso machines.

I'm wondering why the prices of the Thrusmaster T.16000M FCS HOTAS shot up in the past month or so from around $140, to almost $300 now?! "Sucks", it's everywhere and I see no one here commenting about this price hike. Wut's up with that? I want it for the Elite and Dangerous PC game. Thanks for the nice video, hope you have many more years of happy gaming with this joystick! I hope the price will drop soon!

Its because Microsoft flight sim is out and product stock is low & demand is high. Prices should come back down hopefully by the end of the year

Same for me and 2 elite dangerous clan mates, the main trigger malfunction, and the jaw pedals too. T16000 its 2 years working then begin malfunctions.

Well.....with those 2 faults you mentions.....the throttle slider and the rudders....it is to me unusable. I'll never risk buying one now. That's is bad bad bad!

A lot of reviewers put lithium grease on the throttle.

I always thought how I’d fly a Cessna or a 4 engine 747 with a warthog joystick and throttle

Heh, I went to try and buy one for new microsoft flight sim and I saw they were WAYYY overpriced everywhere, but I found a local Canadian business I was able to buy them off of for normal price thankfully.

1. go to the gym. 2. open it up, and use lithium grease on the sliders.
