Just think how 'must have' this guy would be if the QC was top notch. I can see what you're saying though, whoever designed him tried hard, but the manufacturer who produced him screwed it up.

I got lucky in getting this figure several years ago for under £30 when someone I knew in the US was looking to get rid of him so I offered to buy him. He's an okay figure, nothing special, not worth the high price that was asked for him on release and later re-releases. Really worth little more than £15 or less, under £30 was a decent enough price but he's worth less. They had some interesting ideas but the execution was pretty lacking. He's really fiddly and fragile, easy to transform but scary at the same time because of how fragile he is.

Perhaps it was mentioned in the video, but this line tried to make Optimus transform exactly the way he did in the cartoon. Hence, the proportion is a bit different, especially in the truck mode. I have this item, and I love it as well as the Galaxy Convoy.

The first release of THS 02 came with a small Hot Rod that could fit inside the trailer. I have that too, and it's pretty cool!

My parents knew how much i loved transformers and would get me the takara mnasterpieces. My mom got me this one day since she was like its better than me playing with my mp04 xD but i did end up breaking mine even though i was gentle since my dad would teach me to respect my toys. i kinda want one again but i remember not liking it as much

Well...if Cyberverse's Warrior lineup shows how bad a mainline Optimus can be with a poor gimmick, then Hybrid Style shows how bad a smaller Optimus made for collectors can be. It'd work better as an action figure only, but I prefer Deluxes, Voyagers, etc.

I doubt it. The core class figure is smaller than this one and the way the toes stick up in truck mode will make it difficult for it to pull any trailer this size. Thanks for watching!

if i had to complain about one thing on this figure is that my copies tabs on the trailer snapped instantly, it was a shame but it stands proudly as the repair bay for optimus :/ :Edit: one more thing how much did you find this for again? i got scammed by a foriegn seller for 60$

The qc on this figure absolutely sucks. I like the robot mode though, a shame the qc is really bad. There is also a Galaxy Convoy version of this with much better qc though. btw, good video
