Welcome to our precious faith. I’m not sure what part of the MASS you’re referring to, and I’m sure you have tons of questions because I’m sure they can’t cover everything in RCIA. There’s a couple of suggestions I have for you. If you are able to do so, go back to that part of the mess that you questioned and take a screenshot and bring it to a local priest. Perhaps he can explain what you saw.? Also, there are so many wonderful explaining the Faith talks, and I know there is actually a two part series on the MASS. On this channel, type Alar -Mass. It’s in two parts and it’s a great walk through. I’m a cradle Catholic, but watching that gave me a whole new appreciation for the MASS. God bless you.

I don’t understand why they can’t pick a melody and just run with it, every time they choose a different melody it almost feels like they’re changing the prayer.🤷🏻‍♀️

I think there’s a couple reasons. I believe brother, Ken plays different music daily to keep us alert during the celebration of the liturgy. Another possible reason is that the liturgical music varies by the liturgical season. May God bless you.
