Thank you to Father, may God bless him for all he does for us! Thanks, Gene for getting out questions I have also had. I have been trying to build a "hermeneutic of continuity" in my own mind about some of these things bc it is difficult, even with some of the mentioned resources. However, before people go on a rampage about the Divine Mercy devotion, I believe I had heard Fr. say previously that there was nothing wrong with the Divine Mercy CHAPLET. Hopefully this is correct.

Instead of the Divine Mercy chaplet of Sister Faustina, just say 33 times: "My crucified Jesus, I repent of all my sins, have mercy on me and help me at the hour of my death." I found this in an old Catholic book called "The School Of Jesus Crucified. " Pray this every day at 3:00 p.m. which is the hour of mercy.

Father did not condemn the Diary of Saint Faustina. You have misunderstood. He said there were a few things in the Diary that were mistranslated. Pope John Paul II re-translated the Polish diary because he is Polish. Apparently according to Father Ripperger, there’s a few things that still need re-translated. Be careful what you’re surmising!!! 😢

I don't understand on this claim that Latin mass is the only real and valid Catholic mass. I find it a total absurdity & more political with no spiritual rationale. As a Catholic from Southeast Asia, I'm annoyed by this movement of wanting to change our Holy Mass into full Latin mass as if it is the ultimate valid Catholic Holy Mass. I totally reject Latin Mass as a Catholic who is alien to Latin culture & language, I don't want to pray in a language that I don't understand. Moreover, our Lord Himself DOES NOT belong to Latin culture, so if there's any foreign language I would agree to do our Catholic Holy Mass, then it will be ARAMAIC, the original language of our Lord.

Do you know how long the Novus Ordo Missae has been around? Only a little over 50 years. The Latin Mass has been around since the 2nd or 3rd century and has been almost the same for hundreds of years. This is the Mass which made countless saints, this is the Mass which countless martyrs died for, this is the Mass which countless generations of Catholics worshipped Our Blessed Lord with. Also, on Latin, the church teaches that Latin is a sacred language (along with Greek and Hebrew) Plus, if Mass is said in the same language everywhere, I can go to any Latin Rite Mass and be able to have the same language other then the homily. Bad argument. It’s clearly not about the language. In fact there’s over 20 traditional rites in several languages. But there are liturgical languages that were classified as such. And people were anathemised in the early church for preferring their vernacular language over the recognised liturgical languages that united the church. You could use a missal with the translations, which is what I do. Be very careful with the close minded stubbornness that you are showing here. The novus ordo has irreverent elements in it and was fabricated to suit Protestant sensibilities. Do some basic research before making such rash claims about those who advocate for unadulterated Catholicism

@@The_Rad_Trad Ignorant & bad argument at the same time. so what if the latin mass has been around longer than the novus ordo, just because that it has been practiced in longer period of time doesn't mean it cannot be transformed into a more suitable rite that fits an international setting of current Catholic community. The fact that we have modern young saint like Santo Carlo Acutis shows very clearly that IT IS NOT the rite that produce Saints, but how we wholeheartedly and sincerely devote ourselves to our faith and our Lord. May our Lord Jesus Christ blesses you with more open mindedness and clarity on your faith to Him.

@@ecofootprint That’s the problem. The novus ordo was created to be more open to Protestants and outsiders. Not only that, but the missal itself was changed. So many beautiful prayers and orations wiped out to make the Mass more “modern”. I don’t love the Latin Mass because it’s more aesthetically pleasing (even though that’s a part of it) I love the Latin Mass because it is the most perfect and pleasing worship of Almighty God. Just watch the two side by side. Even a novus ordo Mass said well and reverently can’t beat a tried and true Solemn High Mass.
