Moms always see their babies. In denial about him being a grown man-child that is wreaking havoc in their community. @@linzbrad13 60 years. He has to serve half before he can even think about parole. However, she said that he also faces a murder trial which if convicted by Judge West pretty much guarantees his execution (on THAT Texas doesn't play around, it would be either life in prison without parole or death). If it goes in front of Judge Stevens (the other felony judge in Beaumont County), he will probably do life in prison (I don't think Judge Stevens has ever sentenced someone to death).

@@GiGi_to_3 yea except the future judges don’t watch hearings and in order to preserve all the info on the most recent court minutes that the appellate court will read. The court reporter just writes down what the judge says so if the judge doesn’t say it, how would the court reporter write it down…………… 🤔

At least with Judge West that murder trial would likely result in a death sentence. As much as I like Judge Stevens I don't think he ever sentenced anyone to death no would he sentence anyone to death under any circumstances.

I had to rewind to keep up with the charges this guy had between this case & previous cases. He is a whole dumpster fire. His mom is part of the enabling problem happening around him. Today, young sir, you have met your match in this Judge. I commend her for wrapping that sentencing up so they could all eat lunch on time.

To bad she couldn't have also included a sentence of hard labor for those 40 years. It's apparent from the two years he's been in jail he hasn't learned anything. Making him work 10 hours a day 7 days a week he might learn something.

Texas eliminated hard labor as part of a sentence years ago. Judge Stevens is old enough that he was on the bench when that was still an option, though.

Texas doesn't have day for day except for state jail sentences. Even life technically can mean up for parole after 25 years depending on how the sentence is written. Death means death, though.

it used to be that crimes got you long sentences, ive been shocked at how lenient modern sentences have become. 60yrs sounds right to me for a firearm crime, it should be a sentence long enough for the person to be a new person when theyre released, IF theyre released
