Blame the mets for paying a guy with no track record that much money. This one will be by far the worse contract in MLB history. Not only because of the length and money, but because there's many other SS they could have saved that money for and get multiple pieces instead.

I'm a die hard Cubs fan and LOVE Javy but man he is one of the most undisciplined hitters I've ever seen. When he connects he can crush it and his baseball IQ is off the charts but there is absolutely no doubt that his approach at the plate can be absolutely terrible. I really enjoyed him for his defense but this year even that hasn't been that good.

@@lakeozarkrei3767 Yeah I've been saying for years that strikeouts really don't even matter anymore. It's a problem throughout all baseball. All the "analytic" bullcrap is destroying the game and it's total feast or famine at the plate throughout all the majors. It's not just a Javy thing but he's a pretty big posterchild for it because he has the potential to hit with so much power but of course he knows that and therefore goes to the plate thinking he's gonna crush one every time. It's really the most frustrating thing to watch in all of modern baseball right now to me.

@acruzro95

@@kyletucker3811 you shouldnt be a jackass to the waiter. But the mets are not waiters in your analogy. The mets are the highest level, 5 star resort restaurant, where you pay thousands of dollars to stay and the food is raw and the bed sheets are dirty. You would not complain to management??? You went straight to the waiter like if Javy Baez was the ball boy or the field maintenance crew. In your example, the mets would be a 5 star steakhouse, where you pay at least $30 a meal. You love the place and support it. But they mess up the food not once not twice but 100 times. You wouldnt say nothing??? If anything, a waiter is expected to perform more often than Javy Baez. If a waiter screws up more tables than they dont, they will and should be fired. A waiter thumbs down customers when they complain about the service, and they will be fired. But again, this is not a fair comparison in the first place. This is not little leagues. MLB is the highest level of baseball so you must compare it with the highest level of service. Not with an entry level job. These guys are not entry level guys. If they were, you and I would be playing for the mets. You cant compare the mets to waiter. You gotta compare the mets to the most expensive hotel in Paris. And assume that the most expensive hotel is messing up in their service almost every night. And then say you dont expect people to complain????

Yeah Javy, you tell those fans!!! How *DARE* these fans boo the team with the best record in baseb….. oh wait. Your team went from a 4 game lead to 3rd place in the division. Not to mention you’re barely hitting over .200 and the team has gone 9-21 since the deadline. Fans will ride with you when you hit a cold streak, but when the cold streak is longer than the positives, what do you want them to do?

I’ve boo’d my teams everybody has. Being an LA fan I was there when kershaw choked against the Cardinals I’ve seen Jansen implode and I saw the lakers be dogshit before lebron arrived. My gripe is the attitude New Yorkers have to everything and that’s why it’s so great to see them lose. At least Yankees fans acknowledge the arrogance but Mets fans act the same and swear they’re better than Yankee fans

@@kyletucker3811 so cursing at your team is better than booing? Lol we the fans pay our hard earned money to show up and if they don’t play to the level we know they can play at we can boo. I don’t always boo but there have been times when my teams have been underwhelming

@@97NikeSb Yes, because I'm not joining together with thousands of other people so they hear it. That's me talking to essentially myself, not directing it at the players. And you want to boo? Fine. But they have the right to push back. This idea that just because you buy a ticket it gives you the right to act how you want to the players is foolish. That's like saying because you go to a restaurant and order food it gives you the right to be a jackass to the wait staff if the food isn't good or it's slow. If you want to boo the players. they should have the right to push back.

This was already old 5 days ago when it dropped. Enough. The Mets players are overreacting to getting booed, too many Mets fans are being a bunch of over-dramatic whiners over it, and the media won’t stop stoking the fire. Meanwhile, the Mets have won 7 of 8, and Báez, Lindor, and Pillar are ALL getting clutch hits. No better remedy than winning, so can we please STFU about it?

Yankees/Mets doesn't actually really translate well to Cubs/Sox. The Sox literally have maybe 200 fans in all of Chicago. It's probably changed now b/c of how well they're doing but that's exactly my point. 200 loyal fans and the rest of people wearing Sox gear in Chicago are all bandwagon jumpers who don't really watch baseball say what you will about LOLMets, but at least their fans are loyal
