Fucking love the exchange between the radio host and the guest vocalist. Letting him know she frequents the bar he works at. Yeah good, old mate spends a few weeks prepping for a big debut on national radio and 30 seconds before he starts she reminds him he has a day job serving people drinks just to take him down a peg. I bet he appreciated that hugely. That look away at 0:30 could kill.

@sean you're missing the relativity in the comment mate. Is it a bottom feeder job? No fucking way. Is it a few pegs lower than being a professional musician with potentially hundreds of thousands of people loving your music? Absofuckinglutely.

It's not ignorant to say, 'this is so good that a even a non-fan like me loves it'. I think there's more strength to a song/artist that converts people in to liking a genre of music they normally don't like, than one that just keeps the fans happy.

+Jodie Banks Callin out your lover Been callin out his name He’s been hidin, He’s been hidin There’s only him to blame Callin out your lover He couldn’t tell it to your face He’s been lyin, He’s been lyin Too fucked up by the pain {Verse 1 Tuka} Once upon a time You met him on a summer’s night Stomach full of butterflies Dressed in your best jeans By the end of the next week You would have hit it up a hundred times Sex in them bed sheets Now your singin lullabies And your blessed with a little girl And in your eyes she’s beautiful True to form, She rules your world Don’t ever say it wasn’t worth it But you’ve been seeing him for 5 years And you can see it in his eyes yeah And I can tell you’ve thought about it Give me an idea From the stories that i hear Of course you doubt him You mourn the sound when He says he isn’t headed home You can hear that fake voice break through the telephone His alibis don’t hide his life on the side You try to have faith but you’ll never know {Pre Chorus Ev Jones} Break down Pull yourself out of this state dear Acknowledge he was a fake dear From there on you might just grow Throw it all away {Chorus} {Verse 2 Jeswon} When did it all turn sour Safe to say that now he’s underneath your skin While you cower in the corner with no power left within But you’re his lover Even though you know he’ll never love ya You suffer just being his insignificant other Lipstick that’s smeared across his collar His best kept secret that’s hidden under covers Confide in your mother Nursing a broken heart Alone in the dark clutching at his photograph When it comes to emotions you close them shut Because he might just leave if you open up And it hurts so bad Think you’re gonna go mad Contemplating the things that you don’t have And you feel so sad When he leaves that you reach for the prozac, Yeah Tuka/Jeswon And now he’s standing at your gate And he be acting strange It’s sad to say But girl you have to face it Pack them bags that you’ve had stashed away It’s a tragic way to end it But if he can’t even pay attention And if he can’t even make the effort It’s way to late to save Its a cold world no man’s safe from You got soul girl Don’t let no man take none {Chorus} Ohhhh, Ohhhh, Ohhhh, Ohhhhooooo Too fucked up by the pain (x3) Ohhhh, Ohhhh, Ohhhh, Ohhhhooooo

Thank you for providing the correct lyrics. The lyrics depict a story of a troubled romantic relationship where the protagonist has been calling out their lover's name, indicating a longing for their attention and affection. However, the lover has been hiding and avoiding confrontation, being solely responsible for the issues in the relationship. The protagonist expresses feelings of pain and being lied to, highlighting the destructive impact it has had on them. The lyrics further describe the history of the relationship, from its passionate beginnings to the present, where the protagonist has a child with their lover. Despite the blessings of their child, doubts and mistrust have crept into the relationship due to the lover's actions. The protagonist contemplates the idea of leaving, feeling the need to break free from the hurt and acknowledge the lover's deceitful nature. The relationship has turned sour, with the lover now residing under the protagonist's skin, causing them to feel powerless and trapped. The protagonist confides in their mother and experiences heartache, clinging to memories of their time together. However, the fear of abandonment prevents them from fully expressing their emotions. The pain becomes unbearable, leading them to reach for Prozac as a coping mechanism. As the story progresses, it becomes clear that the lover's behavior has become strange and distant. The protagonist realizes that it's time to face the truth and prepares to leave, packing their bags and ending the relationship. The lyrics convey a message of empowerment and resilience, encouraging the protagonist to protect their soul and not let any man take away their sense of self-worth. Overall, the lyrics capture the emotional turmoil, deception, and eventual decision to break free from a toxic relationship that has caused immense pain.
