It is called a Sweet Gum Tree. They are found in abundance the East of the Mississippi River in the Eastern United States. Sweet Gums are a very common tree found all over Tennessee Kentucky & Indiana. Sweet Gum has Beautiful Colored leaves in the fall. Nashville is almost 5 hours South of our Farmhouse. GOD BLESS FROM WEST CENTRAL INDIANA FARMLAND

I laughed out loud and I guessed that you were going to talk about the heat in the humidity! East of the Mississippi it kicks in! Pennsylvania is not always as hot as Tennessee but we get a lot of that here too!

Gum tree. Those green spikes are called gumballs. They turn brown in the fall. At Christmas time we covered them with foil and make ornaments to hang on the tree.

You captured the week so well, Mary. Had a blast working with you in the kitchen. I could not have done it without you there! Thank you for selfishly giving up your time and volunteering to be a part of the kitchen team. Go Team Mari/y !!!
